im interested in getting starting making some maps for PR, so whats the best program to use? and i believe there is an official bf2 map editor correct?

And the official editor is a complete joke. crashes at the absolute worst times, takes ages to load at times, and all in all is a total *****. BUT, I *think* it's all you really have to work with for the basics of the map. Lightmapping and such can be done outside of it... but yeah, as far as I know, the editor is what you get

Good luck. it takes a long time to get used to, but after a while, things start to make sense and come naturally. I'm still a noob though, so dont take my experience for fact.
