Smoke grenade: smoke goes through the wall

Unfortunately, I can't remember the map and the exact point it happened, but still...

I dropped a smoke grenade just next to the wall INSIDE a concrete building (some house or garage, was not a bunker btw) and when I went outside, on other side of the wall I see the smoke coming out of the wall as if the smoke is passing through it.

It might not be a bug but an engine limitations but looks strange...

You get this on games as advanced as COD4, its really annoying I agree.

Yup, it's an engine limitation. But quite realistic, if you consider the bulletholes and cracks in the walls, smoke would just flow right through it, lol :D .

Come to think of it.. what would really be awesome is if there was wind, which would have its effect on smoke and such. Imagine a chopper coming in, creating those.... curly waves thingies.. Niiice! :)

Yes, unfortunately the BF2 engine is far too old to use things like 'soft particles' to do all those nifty smoke effects. :(

I've seen this issue in Crysis. I imagine it will be around for a while.
