Post Your Military Service/Combat Pics

I know that a lot of PR players are vets, so I thought I'd see if anyone wanted to post some pics of their service. I searched for a similar thread, and all I found was a "who's in the military?" thread, so I don't think this is a re-post. I felt like military pics of PR players falls under PR general discussion, so I think it's in the right thread. Anyways, look forward to seeing some pics.

BTW, the pic is me with some war paint on the morning before the November assault on Fallujah.

Kenaway, is that a chopped down 249? I usually ended up with the SAW, though the M-60E3 was my fav (we didn't have the 240B yet).

I'll see if I can get my scanner working and scan in a few, back in GW1 we didn't have that digital shit.

My mos IS 19d.

both of those photo's are from pretty early in our deployment. Well the second is when I was a gunner, about 1/4 of the way through.

25th ID?

Iraq looks like a very inviting vacation for me right now, but I don't know if I could handle Afghanistan. I'm a little confused about a desert with snow  I want 120+ temps and plenty of sun. Plus Iraq has Bhindi Ki Subji (type of food), which I think is one of the top 20 foods on earth.

If you don't mind shitting your pants and spending the next 3 days in the port-a-shitters sure, go for it.

This is me (on the left, gunning) back in 1999 when I served with the PA national guard. we are in the process of swabbing the barrel of the 120mm mortar, dismounted. This was a mech unit so we normally fired it on the M106A3 carrier, but this range did not allow tracked vehicles. Trying to find pics from active duty, but it was soooooooooooo long ago (1990-1994).
HUAH!

I served 362 days in Jägerbrigade 250km north from the arctic circle in Finland. We were specialized in arctic conditions and dealing with low temperature and snow.

Im squadleader of a 120mm heavy mortar crew, though its 81mm which is in the pic. These pics are mostly taken by my mates and one is from official army photographer.

-30 degrees celsius (-22 fahrenheit). Pretty normal condition during winters. Skiis were THE thing for us.

Shooting with my assault rifle in one big "war"

Though we had so cold and dark winters, the summer was warm and sunny. Nightless summer, one night in June, pic taken 24:00 o'clock

Firing the 81mm mortar. Took a few attempts to catch the mortar in picture :) And if you are wondering what those black & red poles are, they are used in peace time for safety purposes.

Too bad I dont have any good material from 120mm mortar and its work in 1m (3 feet) of snow :D that was one hell of a job to do. Hope you liked these pics
