what would give this game a cool look (and functionality) would be a laser sight where the laser would be visible in smoke and such.

So you want a red crosshair that people see in smoke to make things more 1337?

yeah it might be possible i'm not sure. but if it is it definately would make the game look better. it would also add some extra adrenaline being in a bunker and seeing the red dot.

Then in night vision? in Bi Ming? (or whatever that map's called)

press and hold 7 to engage NV, tap to turn on/off gun laser...

And that Spec-ops pistol w/no batteries...

can't you mess around with the engine? just a bit... tweaking...

Someone played COD4 much?

As for the "can´t you mess around with the engine" I don´t think it is really that simple.....

Ignorance is bliss...

Bi Ming is rarely played, due to CTD problems (I think they may be solved now).

When you suggest something like this you need to think is it implemented by the forces represented in game as this is a reality mod. Pretty sure line forces use it but if you can find me a source I may start believing.

If we could mess around with the engine, so many things more important than this could be implemented.

We're starting too but not for the artarded reason's listed. Definitely not with a lot of smoke around. And our use of IR beams isn't 'to look cool'.

Regular laser sights are hardly ever used since they would give you location away very fast. However infra-red laser sights are used quite frequently during night combat. Not many people know that it is a ***** to aim with NVG's on... And yes it is in COD4 but that doesnt meen it isn't realistic...

EDIT: Kenwayy beat me to it...

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

so why do we have the "dynamic light" and "dynamic shadow" settings in graphics options?

and just why does battleracer have vehicle headlights???

and why again have other mods been able to implement things like flashlights into game?

ROFFLMFAOALOLATST!!!!!!!!!!!

Laser sights are generally not issued to conventional forces due to the afforementioned giving away of position and also because they are percevived to have a derogatory effect on conventional marksmanship skills (troops coming to rely on the lasers) and so are opposed in the interest of keeping such skills from degrading, though this position is slowly changing to a degree.

IR beams are only used because the current enemy has no way of seeing them and also they lend a massive advantage in Night/Close quaters fighting.

Not happening, locked.

Also a resuggestion. Search
