Merlin Co-Pilot "more options"

I have another suggestion for a usefull Co-Pilot. So most of you know whats happening when a RPG hits the Merlin on Al Basrah. The guys that were in are dead! So the Co-Pilot can open the hatch now, but maybe he could open the side doors, too. Its very usefull to transport a squad.
And if the copilot could look back to the seats he could watch if the doors and the hatch are closed.

Yeah but the pilot has to fly and doesn't really have the time to do it, so not much choice.

I think Jonny was talking about maybe having a soldier by the door control it. Definately not the pilot, he already has too much to worry about.

Adding more features for co-pilot like being able to open more doors etc is a bad idea, in the way that, you get annoying players just opening all doors etc when you are on publics. If you allow more options for co-pilot, you need the pilot to be able to lock/un-lock such controls, as when i fly the Merlin, i do not wish the back door to open, for the reason being:
*when i land sometimes it can toppple over (because the back door is touching the ground rather than the body of the merln)
*bullet fire comes inside
*rpg's come inside (and can make me bleed out while flying)
*pilot gets teamkills when doors are open, people in f6 f7 seats when exiting stay inside the merlin and have to walk out, thus meaning sometimes they are too slow finding the door and die because im taking off again (can't stay there for longer than 1 second for people to press a button to get out)
so in my opinion, you can add more, only if its possible to add an option to pilot to "lock/unlock" these options, therefore when i fly public i can lock all this so the co-pilot who wants to fly so tries to get me to crash, can't.

yeah cause all of this it have to do a co-pilot you need him. when your doors everytime open its more dangerouse as if they closed and get open when you land. you have a better chance to saver your mates in the merlin.

I was responding to this

Suppose I shoulda quoted it oh well. I actually do like Johnny's idea.

That's no reason to not do this. The mod shouldn't be limited because of smacktards. Just get a copilot you can trust or explain in chat that if they mess around they get no drop off.

What if a certain passenger in the crew compartment had control over it. Instead of a Co-pilot seat, maybe put in a "crew chief" seat that sits in the center near the pilot or is standing near the ramp?
