Okay, yesterday I was playing taxi and supply dropper for my team on kashan. When I was flying back to base I started to land when I landed I started going forward I even it out but my front barely (I mean this wouldn'y even put a scratch on a car barely) and I went boom Is it just me or is the bh landing booms to unrealistic.

They're fragile. Play nice.

Yea they're a bit fragile when it comes to collision damage. Seems like they should take a lot less damage from running into things just because a simple bump can be the end of you.

hey guys im big fan of PR been playing it for a while now i Live in australia so im on the BigD forums which i no some of the members post on here
any way back on topic, i find it extremely difficult to fly the choppers as they move when u r on the ground and also fly dam fast.
My idea is this, could u make it so that the black hawk went normal BF2 speed and when u hold down the afterburner button i goes at the speed it does now, this would improve the enjoyability and capability of the choppers as well as making it much easier to get people to their destination.
Thanks Shotgun

LOL... no.
while i agree that there are a few handling issues that need to be ironed out, i have to tell you there is a reason why its called Project
Reality. Best way to fly a Chopper is practice, just like real life.

....and there was me thinking that the Blackhawk was the roughest, toughest chopper in the whole wide world capable of a heavy crash landing and the pilot/crew walking away......
Not in this game it would appear. The Blackhawk is almost useless except around the edges of the map where you can take fifteen minutes to perform a perfect landing.Otherwise........poof....a pile of blowed up wreckage.Any,and I mean ANY, AA fire? Poof, wreckage.
So I think the Blackhawk has been turned into a Poof.

Are you sure? They're armoured, heavy duty troop transports not bloody pet spaniels. And having done a fair bit of "practice" in various servers I reckon that they fly about as well as a Humvee.
So next time you see a BH coming in to land in a hot zone expect it to either crash and burn due to "pilot error" or explode in flames because someone on the other team pointed their finger at it and shouted "boo".
PR 0.7 Blackhawk; The finest fair weather chopper in the world?

No need to exagerate: I have performed some rather rough landings with a BH without it going boom all of a sudden. Just be careful with it
Also, it's not because a real-life blackhawk doesn't explode after a semi-crash in real life that it will be in any condition to take off again. Just count your blessings that you can actually see the ground when you try to land unlike many rl pilots landing in a desert enviroment.

get that back wheel tickling the ground first, that's the key
More crash landings would be good though...
Boost the hitpoints of the choppers but make a hit kill the rotors or summin
would have to be rare... we had a merlin crash land into a house in basrah, managed to walk away get it repaired and take off again while under cover from 50cal landys

landing any chopper now is difficult because the zero throttle is now 20%.
I don't know why it not zero, and minus 20% i think is for going backwards', but why even have a backwards gear whats the point?.
Jets too it be simpler if there was no backwards it just make things difficult.

landing the blackhawk is so easy.. -.-
i always come in with full speed get my nose up infront of the LZ than you have to hold S for a 1 second
