I was wondering, what program or tools do devs use for recording gameplay or scenes for the British Film? It's not Fraps, is it?

I can record a video in BF2, but not in PR. Can anyone tell me how to do it?
Here's what I did so far:

- used in-game command "demo.recorddemo filename" this starts recording
- used in-game command "demo.stoprecording" this stops recording

From here I don't know what to do, as file demo.cmd does not seem to work with PR, i.e., it doesn't seem to detect the files created from BattleRecorder.

Any experts willing to help?

You can only use those commands when on a local server or in singleplayer. If the dedicated server isn't using BattleRecorder, you'll have to use a 3rd party program.

Yeah, it's on a local server. There's 2 files in Battlefield 2/mods/pr/Demos, which are the ones created when I recorded a scene in-game.
Like I said, I don't have any problems doing it in BF2, I just want to watch what it looks like and then use Fraps for recording and choosing the best camera angles, but file demo.cmd doesn't work with PR videos.

I like Guncam AUDIO & VIDEO for free on trial version (14 days I think, until Guncam logo is placed in video).

FRAPS.... does the job.

I think that when I ran it after doing some SP demos I just went to the account I recorded them on and ran them from there. But to be honest I don't really remember.

That's exactly what I'm trying to do, which is running the BattleRecorder files, but I can't.

I finally managed to get things working, and in a easier way than using the command lines I mentioned before. For future reference, I'll post the procedures one must take:

After recording a movie with BattleRecorder, 2 files are created in Battlefield 2\mods\pr\Demos. Simply copy (don't cut and paste, as it's best to keep them, just in case) both files to C:\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default\demos. That's it, you're good to go! Just run the game and the recorded movie will be in the BattleRecorder file list, ready to be played.
From this point you can use any game recording software to obtain good scenes for your movie.
