Score-dive

So, yesterday on TG i was running around as L-AT. My man Kingkong is shot down infront of me, so i grab his kit and rez him. Out of boredom i check the TAB-section while healing him up, only to see my teamwork-score plunging point by point. It stops when my overall-score hits rock bottom.

Proof.

... it could also be DEV-hax ofcourse, im sure DB wanted that glowing goldmedal all for himself ;-)

As a by-note, why won't PB let me play TB after .7? MD5 mismatch issue - init.con, only that server...

Dear bjoffe,

can't help you with your main problem concerning your negative teamscore.

The reason why our server kicks you via Punkbuster is because we really have Punkbuster running! ;)

According to Punkbuster your init.con has a different length then the original/proper one.

the init.con is located in -> Battlefield 2\mods\bf2
maybe you've modified that file. Either ask a mate for that init.con file or just give me your email adress and I'll send you a working init.con

I think he turnedoff videos on Bf2 lunch by editing init.con
and TB uses PsB configs with extra md5 checks

revert changes back and use shortcut to disable videos

smth like that

Code: Select all

G:\games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +ignoreAsserts 1 +restart 1
sorry for OT to Bugs theme

"extra md5 checks" Those pesky germans ;)
Actually, this time i hadn't renamed my movie-folder, and that init.con is just a couple of lines. Which i ofcourse haven't messed about with.
Thanks for the shortcut, though.

Here is a bug I think is relevant. I will explain, about 10 seconds after spawning at the round start I got 2 kills. No-one including me had even fired any weapon, and as you can see no one had died.

TG is running the latest patch, too, 0.7b. Maybe this has something to do with the system put in place to only let the teamwork score go negative.

...and Alex, that bug might just be with the kills counter, as there have been many reports of that being glitched as well.

not only that - I was commander on Seven Gates yesterday. I wanted to set a firebase and by accident I killed three people while spawning it (actually spawned after the third request - the other two requests killed people but nothing showed up).
However, I had killed my Clan mates and they noticed they get negative score for being killed by sandbags, defensive bunker/firebase or anything else.

Kinda weird... :mr-t:

^ That counts as suicide, they also got long spawn-timers.

You also get negative score if you die with a specialized kit (ie L-AT, H-AT, Support, etc.) Tried to reproduce what you described, only to find that my score went up, not down (as it should be).
