More "Bags"

In real life, most soliders dont run around with nothing on their back. Maybe if there is a way of putting bags to simulate gear? I dont like seeing soliders with just their camo on running around.
What do you guys think?

Thats what the rally point simulates in a way. I just wish there was a way have the gear and its weight effect you in stamina and movement speed until you set a rally point.

Go on Google and type in "Soldier, Iraq" or w/e, look how many soldiers that are in a combat situation/environment, who are not wearing packs.
In PR, you assume both sides are in full battle mode, since everyone is carrying a gun/rock, so it's unlikely your gonna see any of them lugging around 120 pounds x-tra gear.
...mongol...

Bergen for travelling and carry all your gear... youll set up a camp and leave all the heavy gear there along with radios etc.
You'll then operate from that camp most likely wearing
Combat Webbing
Although it dosn't mean to say the enemy definately wont be attacking you whilest you're moving and vulnerable (didnt the marines end up walking 90 miles in the falklands?)
Cool observation but we leave our heavy bags at the RP
NOW if there's a way to make soldiers move slower and be "heavier" and appear to be wearing bergens until an RP is set... that'd be cool

What if you are not there when rally is set up? Or what if you die and respawn? What do you do with your backpack than?

Hm, that was a neat idea Razick.
The squad moving slower without RP (given it has >=3 members).
I think i'd support that.

Umm.... you would definetely NOT leave the radio at camp when going into combat, communication is a key element in order to win a battle.

if anyone should carry bags + packs it should be SL (for radio pack) and Corpsman who carry their medical stuff in a bag now

I think most of the videos you are referring to are long range patrols in Afghanistan. The difference is that in a sustained combat environment (we're talking hours of combat on PR maps, remember, and the location and movements of the enemy are pretty small, given map sizes), they won't be carrying those because there are a)heavier transports available with supplies, b)they won't be operating for (a) day(s) away from their supplies. I'm betting if you look at videos of soldiers in Iraq, you'll see significantly fewer packs, at least when it comes to urban combat.
Also, see the engineer. I'm pretty sure they have more kit on their back than you actually have access to. And they look ridiculous.

whatever, the urban guys dont have as little as pr has now. I think a bigger backpack or something should be worked in. just gives you a realistic feeling less Counter strike ish.

Now its just about right. You got to remember that they have this all purpose wrench that which represents all the other tools they would have like wire cutters, mine clearing tools, arts for a vehicle, small torch, building supplies and tools etc etc. Its a fairly good compromise in my opinion.
For the gear suggestion Im thinking maybe have a "gear" kit implemented where at least one or two of the "gear" guys are needed to make a rally point. Once its set you can grab another kit and if you want to create new rally make it requestable. Could simulate moving all your gear instead of teleporting it to your position. I want to know if its possible to change the speed of your character according to the kit you have because I see no difference between them. Only the civilian kit does but the kit cannot be picked up by another person so its not a good example.

Well if its only a visual then it doesn't really matter. I think they will worry about visuals on the release of 1.0 but doubt they'd care about it now.
Its like that guy who posted about the sun being to the north, who cares?
