Kashan Desert Idea....

First off I want to say that I am a big fan of this map AS IS.
Very nicely balanced in my opinion. I only wish we could have 8 to 10 person squads. This way a squad could have good numbers and still have 1 or 2 people dedicated to being a pilot or a crewmen....and still have good comm with their "ride".
But....I digress the real reason for my post is this:
I would like to see the same Kashan map, except have it feature an asphalt 4 lane highway winding and running north and south through the desert between the two mountain ranges. At some point have a gas-station and maybe a few houses, make it a small roadside town. But very small.
But....in the very center of the map and in the desert....a road exits the asphalt and leads to a bombed out civilian airport. It has a runway that is no longer operational for fast movers as it is cratered from being siezed and resiezed. Its perimeter fence has multiple holes in it and the barricades have been blown open and breached in places that are also cratered yet large enough to drive through. There is a main airport building with two concourses. A husk of a blown up commercial plane sits burning at one of the concourses and on the other is a couple of commuter planes waiting at a concourse that they will never leave. The building is a husk itself empty of furniture and computers as it has been looted in the fray. There is a large open front with a ticket counter with a long corridor behind it that leads to a "Y" which are the intersecting concourses. There is an upstairs but the access is sparse. It does allow for good defensive positions on the 2nd floor and also has roof access from which a defense can be made as well. Across the runway from the concourse sits the con-tower which is simple in its construction. It is concrete tower with a stair well inside. There are various holes which have been blown out which allow for fire both in and out. The Top of the tower is typical in nature it provides a good overwatch position but is vulnerable to the obvious. The ground is strewn with inoperable airport cars, and baggage carriers, cargo containers, etc.
Whoa......I just woke up!
It would make a kick-*** AAS map having both sides fight for and maintain control of the airport!
It would definitely take a few hours to model. LOL
But I feel the game-play would be massive!
Also before anyone starts hollaring and crying about me doing a search....I did a half-*** one....I just got home and was excited about the idea....sue me. LOL
