Hey guys, I got a question regarding the SA80 (thats what the British Assault Rifle is called right? I'm bad with names). When I first started playing 0.7 I couldn't kill anything with assault rifles. Now I can. I do fine with the QBZ, G3, and the M16, but it seems I can't do jack with the SA80! It just seems very inaccurate for me. I use it the same way I use an m16. Aim, relax, pull the trigger every 1.5 seconds. The M16 kicks butt, the SA80 however gets it butt kicked. Anyone got some tips for me? The only kills I get is with the SA is by unloading a clip at someone closer then 20m o.0

The L85A2 is definitely not as user friendly as the all conquering M16A4 in v0.7, when it was king before (the G3A3 doesn't count because it was obviously just ... wrong). Seems a bit tempermental

it has a kick and then a werd wobel after wids, but it ok it still very accurite at lest for me. once you under stand it this weapon is deadly but we cant realy explain it you have to figger it out your self triel and error.

Love the SA-80 and here's my tips for it's use...

Keep the gun on full auto alll the time, the delay between shots is enough so that you can still quite easily squeeze off single shots.

in my experiance the new version rocks on woodlandy maps, when you see your target drop to a knee and aim for his gut, fire a burst of shots whilest leaning into the gun to counter the recoil and you should have an enemy looking like swiss cheese

i find the l85a2 to be one of the more accurate assault rifles.. but it is a bit annoying when on sigleshot from a distance it take like 6-7 shots to kill them. But it is THE best weapon in pr right now for close quarter battle.

Yeah, L85 isn't a problem for me. Auto for in close, single at range. To be honest I use it the same way I use the M16A4 and the QBZ-95. Well aimed shots at distance, close in burst/auto. Never really noticed much difference between the 3.

ye same for me, I can use all the rifles but the L85A2 is easily my best AR in the game

Not had any problems with it, prefer it to all the other rifles. Sometimes you get the issue of hits not registering at range, like with the QBZ, but it's not enough of a problem to worry about.

The m16 is very nice now, but I'd rather have an SA80 over the others.

Why bother even switching to single shot? they're pretty easy to pop off on auto anyhow love that rifle

coreect me if im wrong but isn't the sa80 alot more accurate than the other guns such as the m16 and g3 and ****? in real life


is this is a deliberatly biased gun deviation towards the americans or is it a bug?

also just while were talking about the sa80


theres a few vids on youtube of sa80s firing wouldn't it be a good idea to take those sounds for all guns in a similar way and use them inggame for real?

I didnt mush like it in .6 because it sounded like my airsoft version, but in .7, i love it

I still cant shoot anything at it :S I do better with a friggin ak47! And I checked out the DSM rifle of the british.. my god I almost cried

Any rifle is better than G3!

I do fine with a G3 :S Moving targets, targets behind a lot of cover, anything. As soon as I get an SA80/L85 I might as well try to kill the enemy with field dressings as chance of succeeding is higher that way

The SA80 series of rifles are designed for professional soldiers, are better than the M16 for definite.

|Recently I've been noticing that my rounds are curving above and below my enemy. I try moving my mouse to correct too much height and the bullets fall well below, like theres some wierd problem going on.

Everyone needs to investigate this on the pub servers and see if it is happening too much on fully populated servers.

the sa80 should be the most accurate rifle in the game yet it has low powwer and barely hits.

i have also noticed that shots hit below or above the target

so i must say that theres no doubt this gun is underpowers , over deviated and bugged
