If so, then how come the Modern Day USMC is still using an Essex class carrier, when the Essex class hasn't been used since WWII times?! I mean, seriously pr dudes, would it be that hard to model a Nimitz class carrier? You know, one with an angled deck!

Welcome to the forums
It takes lots of time, effort and resource to make a whole new carrier or any other model.
If it's that easy to model a Nimitz class carrier, by all means please demonstrate by making a quality model, code it and the whole shizzam and post it in the community mod section.
Looking forward to your finished product

Yes, it would be. The developers have more pressing concerns than that, especially since the Carrier isn't used on that many maps. Show some respect to the developers and the hard work they do please.
Locking for re-suggestion.

Anyways, I have no experience in 3d modeling....I have meddeled in it some....But all you really need to do is steal all the textures from the Bf2 essex carrier, and then make a basic model, stealing off the essex carrier more (using the intricate designed parts, like the tower and bridge.) Pretty much all that needs to be done is an angled deck.....using Gmax (havent tried 3ds) its not all that hard to design shapes...you make a box, then add more boxes! Except, I dont know my way around it easily enough to make one in a timely fasion.
