I have have been thinking about a new gametype, I have played insurgent gametype alot latley and got to thinking about a gametype where one team is a samll group of terrorists about 8 people, and there objective is to cause enough collateral damage to win the game, such as car bombing public area's or certain destructable buildings placed around a giant city. But for the public areas that would require basic A.I or maybe just civilan's with no A.I that just stood still just im not sure if this is hardcoded or not, but if it is how about just the destructable buildings. So for the terrorist team they would spawn in a small 3 or 2 story apartment or a randomly chosen hidden place and they would be on the top floor, and there would be a bomb making workshop and one sucide bomber kit and a small weapons cache. Behind the apartment would be a parking lot with 2 cars one a regular car and the second a car with C-4 or some other explosive device. For the opposing team would be a speacial operation unit or some kind of military or law enforcement force. There job is to stop the terrorists from finishing their task and at the same time finding the terrorists hideout and destroying it. The force that is opposing the terrorists should spawn at some form of a government building with one transport and 2 transport vehicle or 1 transport vehicle and 1 APC, im not sure which would be more balanced. Also im not sure how many players should be on this team so tell me what you think would be a good number.

I searched the forum and didnt see any thing realted to this topic. Please tell me anything that should be added removed or anything like that. And please excuse any grammer or spelling mistakes.

It seems a bit too specific for PR, and isn't really a combined arms type of battle. Interesting idea, and it might be suitable for a map, but overall I don't think it really belongs in PR.

I have always wanted to have this type of gamemode if they ever figured out a way of making 3 teams:

You could have 25% of the players be civillians, 25% of the players be insurgents and 50% be soldiers. The insurgents and civillians wouldn't have a respawn, and neither would the soldiers. If the insurgents killed 45% or more soldiers, they would win; If they killed 20% or more of the civillians, they would win. The map would end if the terrorists win, if the time rus out, or if the all the terrorists were dead.

When someone died, they would go into free camera mode so that they don't get bored.

eh, I'm not sure about the three teams thing... I'd rather not be a civilian the whole game, especially if there is no one to support...

But: 7 versus 57 seems good... Sort of like Behind Enemy Lines gamemode from Call of Duty 1. the only gamemode that enforced teamwork (being 1v3 or 2v6 or something, the 1 or 2 would have to stick together rather than run and gun normally, as being "behind enemy lines" is the only way to score, and the enemy knows where you are, updating every 10 seconds...).

Soo... having a "one squad + commander versus everybody else" gametype, I think, would be pretty good... combined with Insurgency, just to make it plausible, would be fairly interesting...
