default button is B to talk. V to talk to commander

Try pressing "B" when in a squad, you should notice a little speaker-symbol in a corner. As long as you can see it, everything you say should be heard by your squadmates.

dont forget to go intio options>audio and make sure VOIP is enabled and u should also config your volume and stuff

Plug in, test in the BF2 mic options and if necessary config it and then play.

Wouldn't rely on that too much.
My USB set isn't recognized by BF2's mic set up and it always crashes with an error , but in game everything is fine.

If you aren't lucky enough to be the owner of a XF-i Soundcard and you got onboard sound, make sure you download
OpenAL that supports the onboard sound regarding the VoIP etc... and make a check at the EAX Option ingame under "Options" > "Sound"
