Can't play the maps that I have created.
The maps show up when creating a local server and they load fine etc but when I press join game I get this.


did everything except for #6 from this tutorial

not sure if this is related to the problem but I thought to post it anyway.

Can you give us a bit more info on your map?
What do you make?Did you add control points etc.

I don't think the problem is related to that tut.

doesn't matter what kind of map it is. This same thing has happened with every map that I've created. And all of the maps I've tried have been pretty basic, a few hills, maybe a valley or two and some trees.
Both teams have 1 control point and 1 spawn next to that control point.

You guys think it would work if someone would just send me their bf2 editor folder?

Just a question, did you add the init.con lines for each team?

no. How do I do that?
Basically if it isn't mentioned in these 2 tutorials then I haven't done it.

Yep, added those and then messed around with the kits a bit and it works now.
