-I've been trying to plant and detonate C4 several times now and it just won't work. I place it where I want it and then the detonator disappears, no matter what I do. I've tried single-clicking, double-clicking, holding the mouse button down, releasing it instantly, using tools, etc, and nothing seems to work. I wait 5 seconds and no detonator is to be found. What's the problem here?

10 second arming time, if you set the c4 off in that time, you are unable to set if off again, unless you are able to get you detonator out again

-The detonator disappears instantly no matter what I do. I see a short frame of it. But in any case, if this isn't something that happens to more people then it's probably not a bug(At least not on the mod side).

oh if u see it for an instant , thats u, you holding down the mouse button too long, a crappy thing from vbf2 that allowed specops to do there sucided charges

ur probably an apc driver and don't want to be blown up - but still he may figure the correct time out by himself when he reads the manual

btw i had that when i was jumping and tried to lay c4 - after wards trying to select the c4 makes you only get the remote control which disappears right away again - so if the remote keeps showing when u select c4 and instantly disappears - u set it off too early

i have had this same problem a few times it happens when my swith is out and i jump or i jump then get switch out, this happens up to about 4 seconds after i've laid the charge.

I've had this before as well. Usually it happens when you're running or moving and placing it. You click to drop it and the detonator flashes and disappears and your C4 is useless.

Also, I've seen this posted before and the same useless people always post out "Wait 5 seconds you noob". It's not a matter of waiting 5 seconds, it's a matter of the game glitching and detonating your c4 as soon as it's placed. It happens very infrequently for me, but it HAS happened.

You DO have to wait 5seconds, its the time the C4 takes to arm, otherwise its *duh* Other than that I never had anyproblems with the C4, sometimes when trying to blow up enemy APC or FB underfire those 5seconds can feel VEEEEEEEEEEEEEERY long.

But Ive never seen this C4 detonating itself ?? :/

i say 10 seconds as some people are unable to count properly andcount 5 seconds within about 3, so if u say 10 seconds then they should get to 5 real seconds

The dreaded double tap is a BF2 bug for sure even the most delicate button press can result in a double tap cause it's a bug..

C4 is much stronger now and affects a larger radius. It takes 5 seconds to arm after placing. If it is triggered prematurely it will not explode at all.

I have had this bug a couple of times aswell! Is it going to be fixed?

Its the double tap. Check mouse settings for click-lock in windows.
