I would like this rifle to become the sniper rifle for this mod

those arent sniper rifles

there designated marksmen theres a huge difference, sniper wear ghillie suits and do alot more training, designated marksman are a standard part of the average US army/marine squad/platoon etc. as has been pointed out about 50 times the designated marksman will be feature alot in PR and it wouldnt suprise me if most have the M14, the designated marksmen could also carry the SPR thats been featured and will for sure be in PR

Sweet, hell yeah. It's a good rifle, my pops had one in Nam, always had that when he was pulling guard duty too. He also lost his hearing in the right ear to one of these heh. But good rifle, very accurate(he was 1 shot from designated marksman), but full auto on that thing and it goes wild with all those .30/06s flyin out the barrel. It's semi auto now right? Wouldn't make sense to have it auto but can't wait until this mod moves along with all it's sweet content.

Oh... i love that gun.. maybe when new classes pop up this sweety will find it's place in PR...i hope...

EDIT : BTW I am not weapon expert, but i think that SVD is rather close fights support window for clearing windows and such...

SVD was designed not as a standart sniper rifle. In fact, main role of the SVD ir Soviet / Russian Army is to extend effective range of fire of every infantry squad up to 600 meters and to provide special fire support.

id like to see both of those and the M14 Socom not as a marksman rifle but a assault rifle, there was like a 12 page thread on this about 2 months ago, this should probably get merged into that id do it but im not longer a moderator

Given the recent media release with the SPR in game, I'd say we will be looking at an SPR instead of an m24 pretty soon.

The M-14 is a good rifle and the M21 would be a decent rifle for the designated marksman to use or the new Mk-14 SOCOM variant.

The M-14 has the selective fire modes of SAFE, SEMI-AUTOMATIC, and FULL AUTOMATIC. Also it fires a .308 Winchester (7.62x51mm NATO) round, not a .30-06 (7.62x63mm) round. The M-21 (the Marksman variant) is semi-auto only (and also fires a .308 winchester).
