insurgent rallies respawn....???

man what a surprise to get killed from a rally i had disposed of long before. Only just realized they are now set to respawn! (btw, what is the respawn time?) funny it took me till now to figure out what was going on!
Don't know if I like this new feature, what does everyone else think? Personally my gut reaction is no. After the blood and sweat of finding and neutralizing said rally, it just respawns? then there is no point in killing it i suppose.
I like the idea that you sweep through an area and remove the spawns which push the insurgents farther back, essentially denying the insurgents their "safe havens", IRL.
I'm sure the devs have very reasonable and well thought out reasons for this. Please explain your concept on this change. Thanks,
carb

Personally, I think the destroyable ones should be totally gone, for the same reasons as you. It makes it very hard to place firebases if the enemy is constantly spawning near them.
However, if we revert to that, there should be a number of invisible spawns that are always open for the insurgents to spawn on, particularly mosque, palace, and perhaps in some random areas of the map.

I agree with you gents. If you're going to destroy them, they should be gone. But the insurgents shouldn't be defeated by loss of spawn points, it's their city after all.

Yeah it weird to have them spawn back. Increasing the spawn time would be nice, or then just do what expendable grunt said and make a few invisible spawns near mosque and palace.

I think a few nonrespawning rally points, combined with the insurgent commander being allowed to place a limited number would work well, perhaps require X number of people to be nearby so he can't just crawl behind the british line of attack.

Don't forget, It's not "AAS game mode" but "INSURGENCY game mode". Brits are on the enemy territory, it means that enemy can be everywhere, even behind your lines.

For the sake of gameplay, I don't think that these RP's should respawn. It's frustrating enough to play on the Brit side. That said, just because you sweep one area of a city doesn't mean you've found all of the insurgents. IRL, that guy who looked like a civilian 20 minutes ago might decide pick up a rifle and start taking shots at you (especially if you missed his weapons cache). I think it's frustrating, but not completely unrealistic.

I never knew they respawned...
why not make them moveable instead of spawnable? like how the tunnels were in BFV? you go up, hit "G", and you have an RP that you can set even though this would only be if it was picked up not unlimited like the convetional armies and militia have, except make it so the only cell leader can move them?

As far as I know they should respawn in a random area like the caches and not every time on the same spot.

I think it's great; it represents the ability of insurgents to re-infiltrate an area originally thought pacified (as they quite often do), requiring constant percerverance on the part of the British forces. I also think them not respawning would be a horrific idea as in many instances you'll have most of their rally points destroyed and them confined to very small areas where they can't do jack **** because they unlike the Brits don't have helicopters and APCs and tanks.

That's very true. This represents asymetrical warfare.

Idea for it. If there is a firebase within 150m of an Insurgent spawn point, then it cannot respawn. This could also add to the tactical decision of make a safe rally point outside of town or take the risk and set it up inside to deny enemy reinforcement of an area. Just tossin it out there. Also, on the note of insurgency, 1. Not played enough and 2. RPG + Window + Slightly off angle = Blast in the face x Major suckage.

That's a good point. These toys really have a dangerous backblast.

Man, that guy's wasted, without doubt. But back to the Insurgency topic. In addition to the no insurgent spawn within the radius of the Firebase, there should be no Insurgent rally point respawns within 50m of a Western Force's Rally Point.

No its just the way it should be imo. You dont get it easy, the city is occupied and there is no frontline. Theres a couple million people living in basra, clearing the city is not feasible
You are in the lions den and you better watch your back
