Fire "through" cover

In the irish army we are taught to fire through cover rather than bend "around" it or peak your head accross it. if you are leaning around it you expose an entire side of your body and you cast a greater silloette and shadow.
I like to find clever places to attack from, but it seems that when i do find a place that would be suitable, its just dang uncomfortable to use. Im either bending my view WAY out of shape to find a target. (and when i do find him, my position is easily discovered)
things like crates and bollards are good. and the broken 8X8 buildings have a nice little formation of wood in the corner that are good for fireing from at prone.
but things like stacks of wooden palets, and the big boards that cover the outside of the scaffoldings around the construction sight are nasty to fire through. they are just in the way, in fact they let enemys hit you easier than you hit them.
You guys said there would be a greater emphasis on buildings and urban fighting. would it be possible to tweak these things in the next couple of releases. i think it would greatly improve gameplay. thanks for reading.

So basically you want a shift to the side button where when pressed only peaks your head, gun and a little bit of your arm from cover?

I have played other games before that allowed a "lean".
The problem with this is that in most lean animations....the head is able to peak.....but the rest of the animation stays behind cover....
how does a weapon fire thru cover at point blank range and remain accurate?
If it does this is lopsided.....you can fire from a position thru cover.....but cant be hit.

Suggested before. Bullet Penetration acts weird in this mod -- only some objects allow it.

None of you guys read his post properly. He's saying that rather than look out from the side or above cover, he has been taught to find the small spaces between cover that allow him to shoot through. So like a space in a pile of boxes, or a space in a bunch of wooden planks covering a window. He's asking that the devs create objects that facilitate this tactic more.

I understand now!
And I agree X10!
Having more "holes" to fire through would be nice. Would take some remodeling though....but it would be very useful!

Yup. thats what i mean. i literally mean, remodel a veriety of objects so that the holes and gaps in each object facilitate being able to fire through at standing position, crouching position and prone position. with the stack of pallets for example, it would only take a slight elevation increase, tweaked so that it would be better to fire from.
Another example is to have some holes and gaps in the sand bags to fire through. they are okay to Cower behind but they dont complement the ability to turn around and lay down an effective counter assault. if i was using sand bags, you can bet i'd be wriggling the gun in between the bags to reduce recoil and improve accurasy and at the same time make it very difficult for the enemy to hit me effectivly. thanks for reading.

agree totally also i think most of the wall heights should be changes because most of them will show your head when you're prone but you wont be able to see and the others... well no others exist that i can think of now.

All hail the voice of reason!
Good suggestion, could be nice on the snipers 2,
