An Idea for a new game mode I had.

Ok so after playing the hell out of cod4 these past few weeks, I've came across this brilliant game mode called Sabotage, It's where both teams try to get a bomb from the middle of the map, And get into their enemies base planting it on the target. Protecting the bomb carrier at all costs! I must say it's fun and the only game mode thats extremely team oriented. I was thinking maybe we could have something along those lines in PR. But not with a Bomb but a Kit to get.

Think of it like this.

Both teams start off on opposite ends of the map, Each trying to retrieve a kit from the middle of the map, Pretend a blackhawk crashed, And Both US and MEC teams are trying to retrieve an object of vital importance from the crash, Maybe the object is a dossier, or a Computer disk, Or whatever! Just as long as it looks important, And the way to get this object is to pick up the kit containing the object, When the kit is picked up, It contains a Knife, US or British Assault Rifle, Object of Interest, And a Field dressing. Why? Because you'll be practically defenseless unless you have your teammates backing you up.

I know it sounds alot like extraction, but its not! Because both teams are fighting for the kit.


So what do you guys think? Do you think it could work with the dynamics of PR? I think it could to some extent, As long as there are enough rally points.

Extraction but two sided. Wont be popular for the same reason extraction has fallen by the wayside. Hopefully this kind of thing can come back when scenario arrives (and replaced AAS entirely :) )

Ive played alot of COD4 myself and i especially enjoy Sabotage, but i dont think that its the right thing for PR: The maps are too big, too many people operating so i dont see it working on publics and the mode would fit better if the game had only static spawn points. I guess it could work with some adjustments, but it wouldnt be great enough :)

Edit: Example on adjustments: Making the kit an old chinese fortress that both sides have to travel to get to, take in first and defend or take over and defend. Hold it more than the opposing team and win. But then again, too much of AAS in it and wouldnt go :)

capture the flag with an exploding flag.

plus the "target" would be a small and specific area, well guarded, and in real life the(example in Basra) Insurgent team wouldnt gather around say the Palace because they knew the Brits were comming with a huge bomb.
