this is just a small thing thats been nagging me but why do the british pilots have camoflage? on when IRL they wear Olive Green Flightsuits.

Also why do transport chopper pilots have oxygen masks on?
Image
and finally why does the pilot in this typhoon have "number 1 squadron roundels on his "flight suit?" the typhoon isn't flown by one squadron and the one ingame is from 3squadron.

i realise this is all very low prority stuff i jst find it slightly irritating if someone knows how to edit skins and would have a go tht be appericated. Also if someone can tell me how to make them i could have a go myself.

.. There's only one kind of pilot kit, so there's one skin. If you want to have different you'd have to have Heli Pilot. Typhoon 3rd Sqdr. Pilot. Harrier 1st Sqdr Pilot. AAC pilot..

Normally, I would argue, ITS JUST A GAME!!! get over it, its not like its supposed to be realistic............

but in this case id say:
good point, but the guy has a flight suit, the normal camo is sticking out.
and perhaps they will change the number, or they know that the squadron will be getting the Typhoon in the future........TIME MACHINE???
*disclaimer*
*I never said 1st squadron would get the Typhoon, just making a point about this post......and time travel*

i swear that the other team's pilot have differnt looks when they get in a plane/helo also the pilots look differnt when they get in the airplanes.

also in the second pic it looks like hey is wearing two olive green canvas sacks on his arms.

does anyone know how to change the skins, just a new SQN sign would make me happy!

maybee you could have chopper pilot and Jet pilot kits as IRL they are very differnt aircraft to fly and pilots have differnt equipment e.g. G-Suit oxygen mask for jet pilot and just a flight suit open faced helmet with mic for chopper pilot.
AAC pilot..
you could have the brummy.uk 1337 uber lynx pilot kit!!

I believe there may be a way around this.

Change the Pilot kit so that he is wearing a helmet, similar to that of the USMC pilot.
This would not change when entering a helicopter, but when a player enters a fixed wing, the kit changes (just like when you sit on a 50cal, you get a crewman uniform, or a pilot on the miniguns of a BH), which has the addition of an oxygen mask.

Ofcourse this is aesthetics, and other things are priority

and the thing with the camo can not be changed in general, because only the kitparts change when you request a kit, but not your bodyskin, only spawnkits can have a own skin

If it does change....is there anyway to change the texture?
Those pics in the cockpits look like the flight-suits are made of burlap! :D

I was wondering about this, IRL Pilots in the desert pilots wear desert DPM with flight vest or whatever its called. I don't know if they wear woodland DPM in other environments but defiantly on Basra the brit pilot a helicopter helmet not jet oxygen mask.

AAC Pilot in desert.

woah super thread revival :D lets hope it gets some notice this time.

Chopper pilots in the AAC are probs more likely to be in DPMs as the are the army, i have never seen an RAF chopper pilot wearing DPMs whilst flying.

here is an 'interesting' picture of a pilot in an RAF flight suit
