Heavy Machine gun kit

Hello, countless times on the battlefield I could of done with the help of the .5 Browning Heavy Machine Gun to get me out of tight spots, but Humvees are to loud and dangerous sometimes to drive in. I was thinking adding a heavy MG kit to the game or at least the 'FN mag 7.62mm' which is used by the British military and packs a punch accurately over long distances. I found the 'Saw' to be terrible at mid-rang distance
Obviously firing the FN mag from the hip is not a good idea so i was thinking add loads off recoil when standing and even crouching, so you can only hit anything while proned (if anyones played day of defeat, they'll know what I mean) but while proned you'll be able to get a lot of lead accuratly down range

this is realism.
you know it makes sense

I re suggested it to get some developer feedback, but the other threads caused mine to get locked...though IIRC all the other related threads where for "deployable" MG's.

Not that I know of. Normally, GPMGs are manned by two people and that is not possible to do in BF2. Also, animating and adding free link - as normally carried by GPMG gunners - to a player's body is not possible or very difficult.

well it only takes one person to shoot the weapon and a buddy carries the ammo. The ammo guy can be the ammo rifle man kit, so theres your second man. I read somewhere that the devs can't animate the belt fed but theres no need to as you can attach a box magazine to the FN mag just like the 'SAW'. Just my two pence, I think i speak for alot of people on PR that a more effective machine gun that can be carried would be AWESOME.

I agree, yeah, but I don't think you can do it with all the models of the MAG, and, anyway, the boxes only hold 50 rounds, I think.

I don't think HEAVY mgs are all that common anymore anyway, could be very very wrong though, GPMGs/Med/whatever their generally refered to MGs get some use still though.
