Hey does anybody know anything about the maps offered in the server lounge that are in RED TEXT, I've been looking on the forum for map addons or something, can't find them, I try to join the servers and of course it says I don't have that version. What gives,any ideas.

They are running maps that you don't have.

You might get a faster response posting in PR help & issues or whatever its called.

Try Googleing the map names...

I should have put those up originally. The ones I am seeing, but can't log-on to are;
Al Fallujah Region,
Air_Crysis,
Desert Storm,
These are the ones showing up in my lounge at the moment, I'm sure it's some a download of some sort, I guess I could google them, but just wanted some clarification of some sorts first.

SRY, forgot to look @ servers, next thread I'll provide that

I believe the PR DEVs agree to let servers run custom maps (AKA any non-PR 0.7 map) as long as the server is passworded. You may or may not be able to find those maps about on the internet. I know you can find Al Fallujah and Desert Storm in the PR_SP forum in community modding, but they have been modified for SP and may not work for MP.

Servers running those maps should be locked I believe, so even with the DL you would need to get the PW.

wow, thats a bummer, I took Sgt.Smeg advice thought and googled it, it took me to another PR forum page for instuctions. But alas, it was SP, wonder why they have it in the server lounge for MP. Thats kinda jacked up

Some clans/groups are running there own servers with the maps they want to play, that's just how it is.

Al Falluja region is the same as Desert storm.

Al falluja region used to be US advancing on MEC, then it changed from MEC to Insurgets with AAS along with the name change. it was a moltov spam fest

Trust me, you dont really want to play either of those maps

dont worry, the flood gates on new maps will be opening at some point, its difficult to say HOW many new maps, but its anywhere from 10-30 new maps are being developed right now by R-DEVs, R-CONs and community members... and they all look really interesting!

That was a private server running a private mappack some of my clan mates were tired of the same maps at the 0.6 and i decided to do some audits for us, my friend lend me his server for training since he was not using it for nothing at the moment (he was trying to get a bf2vanilla ranked server but EA did not accept his server to reiceive ranked status

It is no longer in use since it has not been updated (0.6 server)

Air_crysis is a map that i made for training purposes of aircraft, it is 2 islands and 32 planes for each team for Dogfighting training
A map that will never be on PR

Forget about those maps you will not find then to download since it was private =)

It was normal AASv2, basic some maps from older versions of PR audited to 0.6

Thanks Hfett, that does explain my confusion, but as you read Fuzzhead as rejuvenated my excitement for PR and more maps to battle in
