Don't you mean increase the torque...not horsepower.

Regardless of technical terms, I agree that increasing vehicles climbing ability is a good idea, especially for tracked vehicles.

Yeah I am all for that.

Make the cars faster.. They're going way too slow now.

Fix the horrible suspension and the cars from spontaneously combusting from going over a dirt effin hill. Especially the dirt bikes. I agree with the rest of the thread also.

I agree....
Tracked vehicles should not get hung up on some of the "ditches" that they do.
I also agree with the cars. I have seen faster forklifts!

Surely even the lightest tracked vehicle wouldn't be able to climb a hill as steep as a human could...
I seem to remember torque and speed been inseparable entities in the BF2, not sure if that's right but if it is means this kinda thing can't be fixed. Hill climbing for tanks and such has improved alot since .5 though so if sure the DEVs have summet up their sleeves.

Personally, I think car health is reasonable at the moment.
The random explosions, though, are not. Cars don't explode when you ram them into things--they just break.
Maybe something like the immobilization on heavier vehicles can be used?

i double that
car's speed for general driving is ok as it is imho
however the "boost" could be a bit stronger

With Armour...Just do the same thing you guys did with the infantry sprint, increase the duration for top speed and lower the normal to a slow pace. im sick of idiots driving tanks like la mans cars and geting crusified by mines. there needs to be a distict difference in...
"Driving quickley over dunes mode..."
"Driving slowly through urban invironments mode."
I mean tanks have gears too. And by the way, tanks have 4 crewmen inside not two. So there are actually room for a couple of passengers. and match up the lines on the targeting reticals for the distance of the shot, fireing over and over to figure out the speed distance and time is very frustrating. AND ADD A HANDBRAKE IF YOU CAN!!!
And with that wild tangent... im wondering, is it possible to put targeting reticals on the tanks hud like in the Jets and SOFLAM? or would that just change the balance of gameplay too much?
Thanks for reading.

I agree with this suggestion, big time. I guess the simplest solution would be to add a boost function to all vehicles. Speaking of the boost function, would it be possible to make this a constant, perpetual thing? I hate having to keep pressing it every 3 to 5 seconds.
Though I think if there's a way to increase vehicle "torque" separate of the speed, it would be well worth the effort.

I think having adjustable vehicle speed via the "boost" is a great idea. But I think current speed is okay, just need a lower gear, as psyko pointed out.
