I had a medusa 5.1, but it broke after 2yrs. Its no real 5.1, but close enough for a headset.
If u wanna be like the pros, get the Sennheiser PC 161. I have it, and its really great.

I also have the number 2. I love it mainly because it's comfortable and overall pretty sweet. But after a year the left speaker died. Don't know why but I personally think there's a break in the cord but oh well....

I have these and they work great! Great audio, great microphone, comfortable, haven't ever had a problem. Used these to replace my cheap $30.00 logitechs from bestbuy.

Had a set of Medussa's 5.1, was never really impressed with supposed 5.1, and they broke after 6 months. Got a set of Creative fatility's now, and very happy with sound and comfort. Cheapish too.

I use a Medusa 5.1 with my Creative X-Fi xtreme. The placement of speakers within each cup really works well to locate direction of sound. The headset is very comfortable. Only problem is that the microphone is quiet so I have to use a different mic.

damn you speaker guys with your feedback over voip.
I myself have this cheap trust headset i think, I cant remember, all the printing on the sides have fallen off...
its USB but I cant install the software without getting freaky echo effects on everything that cant be turned off, luckily it works fine without the software. The microphone works good but is held togheter with ducttape that causes me to sometimes sound like a "robot" as many players have commented, violence ussualy solves the microphone issues quickly.

i had few sets of the Medusa 5.1 and they have worked really well, i tend to be at pc from when i wake up till i sleep so using them extended periods, the speed links were really comfortable and very well built, few people have had problems with the older models due to a setting on the headset so not giving as good sound as it should
i just upgraded to the razer barracuda headset and im really impressed the clarity is much better but the bass is not as good and i don't find the sound as rich but the microphone is really short and detachable which is good, harder to break or dunk in your drink when you forget mic is down
i also have access set of the Logitech Precision Gaming Headset that my room mate has i would warn you to go to a shop and put the headset on in person, i could not get them to sit comfortable on my head and ears due to the design of the head set/ear pieces but that could be just shape of my head after about 10 minutes i would start to get sore ears and could never get the headset to balance right

na you see I have a solution to that problem
What I've done is put 2 sound cards in my system (1 being the onboard souncard on the mobo, the other one the SB), then I have my SB do all my windows / game sounds, which is on my speakers, and then I have my mobo setup to ONLY do VOIP. Then I have this 1 peace headset plugged into it, which is this one here:
Which has my mic on (thou my mic goes to the SB so I can talk on ingame VOIP aswell) and all the TS chat goes strait into my right ear and at a vol which is easy to hear it over my speakers
Now the guys over VOIP/TS do now and again get a little bit of feedback of my ingame sounds, shooting etc thou I have it on push to talk so only when I'm speaking, but they never hear a echo of themselves which is the really annoying bit.
It takes a little to setup this system to get windows on TS / games to work with it but when you get it working, works like a treat
