It seems on the weapons and some apcs, there si a flickering texture on some parts, most notably the L85, Im not sure what causes it, but I'm running everything but AA on high at I beleive 800x600 res, not performance issues

Yea, I see it also on Al Basrah that some of the apartment windows flicker when you look at them in different angles. No biggie for me but I don't know if y'all see it.

Its been mentioned before, and to sum it up in Okita almost kinda understanding it himself terms, its caused by the Zbuffer/BF2exe being pushed to its limits. SO the textures are fighting for control over which ones get shown, and since the drawn distance is so great plus all the other PR improvements, the Zbuffer is losing its effectiveness[wrong word Im sure] so what you get is wavy lines between "joints" and black meshing through textures.
If youre talking about what I think oure talking about, that is

i stared at the pic for over 5 min and the only thing i saw was that the far site's hanging camo net does not show
either ur pulling my leg and mean the text chat or your talking about [ URL="
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-aliasing"]aliasing[/URL] that occurs at raster graphics
as for the texture flickering i thought it has something to do with transparencies...

The back of the netting shows, its just the exact same color as the mountain. look closely, you can see it
Yeah, I think youre talking about anti aliasing... Do you have it forced on your card? I did that once and it looked like shite, but once I deactivated it and ran AA off BF2 is worked properly...

So just make sure I have the anti-aliasing in N-tune (I know some people say it sucks but I can't bother, plus I usually only use it to set the fan speed.) off then run anti-aliasing in BF2?

you can reduce the appearance of aliasing by rising the screen resolution (eg i am running 1280x1024, judging from the screen shot rhys got 800x600 which is known to cause eye cancer on >17"

) but be aware that you performance (FPS) will drop significantly
