Now I've read that RPG's have two firing modes. (1) is point of impact and (2) is and airburst mode which is set by the operator. Basically the operator sets the distance in which the warhead should sxplode. Apparently, this "airburst" mode is what used to bring down helicopters.

I think you may be thinking of the automatic detonation which happens at ~900m. Apparently there are "bouncing" variants of the rocket which "bounce" up on impact, detonating in the air.

Isn't this something of BF2142?

That is correct. The PG-7 warheads have an auto-destruct feature at around 900m of flight distance. No rounds made for the RPG-7 or RPG-16 that I know of have been enabled with a selectable air-burst setting.

This has been suggested before, though, so I am locking the thread. No problem, though, just use the search feature and the "already suggested" thread above next time. :)
