Is it possible to apply a material to the player model like you do to the vehicle models? That is, can you create a material that would better represent body armour? It would stop a few rounds, but then become permeable to others.

Just wondering.

Im not sure if it is necessary though...
Do the character models already have "hit points" such as....a shot to the leg does less damage than a shot to the torso...or a shot to the torso does less damage than a shot to the head.

I guess I was wondering if this would be a better way to show the use of body armor?
I am not sure....just asking.

acording to the BF2 editor, this is the player col mesh for ALL player models ingame.

and yes that is the physics col mesh (what the bullets use) thou dont look right cos ingame if you shoot the leg or hand or w/e you do less damage than if you shoot them in the head for exsample, so I'm not 100% sure about this thou it wouldnt be easy to edit the col meshes.

Sure you've not got the mesh the wrong way up? Looks like it'd make more sense with the pointy bit over the head lol :p
