I'm not sure if this has been suggested before, but I remember from Forgotten Hope, they were able to have more seats than normal in the Ju-52, by having one that included the pilot and the gunner along with the 6 other seats for para troopers, but than they also had 8 seperate seats behind the original 6. ANyway the BF2 engine could handle that?
Sorry if it's been suggested before

Might have been 2 vehicle meshes. I'd actually like to know how they did it, to be honest -- I never got in the JU-52 though.

different engines, diferent story... (I only hope that god of hardcoding will grant us some knowledge how to make more seats some day... a child object or somethin...)

So there is no way to add something like that in? I would think it wouldnt be too hard if it is only a vehicle mesh in a vehicle mesh, if that makes sense. I think this is more a modelling thing than a coding thing
Sent an email off to lobo asking about it, hope he replies soon

The way vehicles interacted in BF1942 was pretty awful, but somehow (and who knows why) DICE made it worse in BF2. I imagine that was one of the first ideas the DEVs came up with, it just doesn't work with the engine.

Im afraid this is a resuggestion.
This is very true and the DEVs have pondered it for quite some time, and it seems like its well and truely hard-coded.
Thread locked, resuggestion/ hard coded.
