Yes yes its true youtube does have a option to have better sound and video quality its only hidden until now .

Put &fmt=18 to the end of any youtube URL you want to see.

Example:

Original Video URL: Higher Quality Video URL: It works on all videos as far as i know .

Oh and i recommend kliking on the first resize button, otherwise the video will be stretched.

Not sure if I noticed a difference or not.

"old" videos won't suddenly appear in better quality but new videos will (provided the source is of high quality).

it does work i tried it with a video i uploaded an when i uploaded it i thought well %$@! why is the quility so poor
so i read this thread and go back to the poor video and add the suffix on to the url and it is like a new video
