I have noticed that sounds coming from vehicles sound like they are right on top of you even tho they are on the other side of the map. I am using X-Fi extreme music and I get the same effect if I have EAX on and off.
Is it just me or my setup that is causing this? Or is this something PR team are still working on?

I had the same problem, if you have ANY settings that control 3D SURROUND SOUND you need to TURN IT OFF when playing PR, the EAX and 3D surround sound conflict while playing PR on xfi cards, and causes you to be unable to pinpoint sounds general directions and makes vehicles sound to your left and your right and 0% at your front/back

So if you have an Xfi card and can't tell where sounds are coming from, turn off 3D surround sound in the xfi audio program/setup thing in creative folder

Thanks Doom721, turning off 3D Surround worked. Things are now sounding very nice and is now producing lovely atmosphere.
