i had built a firebase and it started to explode and it lasted the whole map, you can't come close to it to repair and enemies can't destroy it

Looks like a huge mole is trying to burrow in to the ground....
what happened when u tried getting a bunch of shovels to repair it?
Just the supression effect?

it damges you if you try to repair... it happens a lot after update enemies get lot of points cuz of it... it happens almost every time after bunker or firebase explodes... for example you fire a rocket to enemy bunker and it starts to explode to infinity like this... you get thounsands of points cuz of it...

Remember, the 0.75 patch has made command post repair vehicles and stuff, so don't put a firebase next to the command post, it will try and repair it,but will just collapse over and over again. only way to stop it is to destroy the com post.
yep, command post repairs everything around and bunkers firebases too, but it's too slow, so it just repair bunker a little bit and it colapses again... but who destroys bunker first time, gets lots of points, cuz of that repairing colapsing nonsense. :/

Seems like an easy fix would be to code it so no bunker or firebase can be placed within 50m of a Command Post.

Or make it so that it doesn't repair firebases and command posts at all.

i seen one of those (FB) and was brave enuff to go and fix it, it was possible!
after the first 2 spade swings it stopped exploding. i could build it up all the way to 100% (and yes it was next to a Command Post)

Yep, but you can't manage to get close to the firebase, because it starts the "suppression fire"-like effect, i thought i would have died in gettin close

Just keep on spading in the supression effect and it will be build without a lot of harm!
Oh, do it in prone position of course...

on a side note, i think the cp also repairs itself
i was comm, a spec ops kept planting slams on it, but after a while it would go from damaged to repaired all by itself (don't know if it is intended but some how relates imho)
also the cp rearms and repairs hostile vehicles too

I saw this happen on Oilfields. I stopped it from cycling like that by shoveling it. Was strange to see though.

I've had similar issues, although I managed to get my squad to blow the damned thing up so we could try again. Three out of four FB deployments ended up like this, the only thing the three failed ones had in common was odd terrain under or around it. The spot was just North of the conveyor at Mine on Qwai river, in that little hole that's perfect for a FB.
Also, across the entire map away from the Command Trailer. That ain't the issue. While it may contribute to it, there is something else causing these things to a'splode. I've had it happen several times, on several maps, in several different places. It's been happening since we put the damned things in.
