Rifle range map

Would a map like Rifle Range, for Call of Duty 2, be possible in PR?
I'm not saying it would have to be exactly like it, but this is how it works: You pick up a weapon/rifle, move to the shooting area and a clock starts the round, five minutes iirc.
Targets are small metal squares moving across the range, at different distances and value in points.
In COD2 it would get really competitive towards the end of the round because everyone is trying to get the 7p-targets at 300m. They swing up for a few seconds when hit, so you can't just hammer them.
What do you think?

....
lol no just kidding, the idea itself is great but you can always join an empty server and fool around there a bit...also, doesnt a target range have to be single player? Cause i'd love to see a target range server filled with noobs, TK FEST all over

Yea noobs will think the targets are teammates heads.

I guess you have to try it to see how it works. It's a strange map, even by COD2 standards, because it changes how the game works. I mean the score keeping and timer.
It is/was alot of fun on small LANs.

well it would be possible to make a object be created with python, and then you could shoot at it and if you didnt hit it with in like 5 sec python would destroy the object and you would get no points. i am sure this is possible it would just need a bunch of work, but it could help people become better at shooting.

uhm... killing people also helps your aiming skills, or just destroying stuff on a LAN server. I dont think its worth the work.

But having
A rifle range with moving targets
A moving cardboard tank/apc cutout
And vehicles to man/fly
would be fairly interesting... Unless that's the whole point of the training minimod...
OR just have 55 bots (or 54, depending if bots can command) versus six people on your team (in your squad). Can you calibrate auto-balance to that? Autobalance isn't 50/50, but something like 70/30 or 99/1?

Hmmm... an online training server with vehicles may prevent noobs from wasting vehicles in a real game.
What's the first thing a noob will do on a map with helicopters? He'll crash all helicopters in an attempt to learn to fly.

I suppose it would have to be a minimod withing the mod.
Ok, I found a picture of the map. It's for COD1, but it looks just the same. (hope this works)

I believe there is a server playing the training map, if people want to practice/learn online.
As far as having a rifle range, given that PR is about tactical combined arms combat, it just doesn't seem like it makes sense.

You want to practice? Use PR_SP... there is enough moving targets

Some of you have a really hard time letting go of the practice/training idea. I can understand if you need to practice flying, but there's help for that already.
This is like a tiny game, within the game. There's a lame video on youtube, but it doesn't really show how the map works, just two retards in their natural habitat. It's called COD2 Matrix.. yeah that's right. Problem is they took both pills and washed it all down with paint thinner. The shooting area comes in later in the vid, sort of.
I'll see if I can find it..
Ah here we go
