so a friend and me was talking about the new features in 0.75 and then he ask if they have now fastropes on heli! i told him that this is hardcode and we talked a while! so my friend told me this:
I thought it might be possible to "copy the parachute code" and do a second chute, that only works close to heli, does not damage when u drop less then 30 secs (so like the BF2 chute) and is part of every soldiers equipment.
only problem might be those, who got a normal chute...

i dont know if it work but if it works then answer and pls ONLY answers from coders or people which knowing about the hardcode!

I'm 80% sure it won't work, and if it will it'll look like ****. And I kinda know some stuff about coding.

If it was possible, the maybe switching the code to kill you if you drop more than say 2 seconds to keep people from paradropping .......

But then again, I would have to guess that they tried this but who knows ......

I bet it could work... but it's still not fastroping. What you're describing is more or less paradropping from a helicopter with some additional restrictions. Unless I actually see the rope, with the troops sliding down it any other work around can't possibly be called fastroping.

i guess we were a little overdue for a fastrope suggestion...

Locking, for obvious reasons (seriously people, if it's something you can think of...it has been tried)
