squad leader spawn?

is it realistc to spawn on a sqad leader in the middle of know where. NO.
or in the middle of a random out post i think you should only be able to spawn on an oupost with you sqad leader there and at the main bace (so the secondary bace is where "the "downed" men are healed or something) any one else think so becuse it kind of is dumb to keep spawing in the middle of know where though i do like this feture i think at times it is dumb
NOTE (at capture points when the other team in not in range to cap)

Yeah, but if you really think about it, is it realistic to respawn at all? I mean if they're going to keep in respawning (which would be kind of stupid if they didn't) than they should just keep everything the same. Its the one aspect where they need to worry more about the fun side rather than the realistic side of it (but I do like the LONG respawn times on the glory houndz server, maybe you guys can figure out some way so thats how it has to be on all servers?)

Yes it is dude think about it. Squads stick together in real life. Its real and should not be changed.

i dont under stand they may stick together but would they apear right on top of one another from mid air. i think they should spawn to there sqad when there near a bace (its like a strong hold with medical atnion the medics could not provide to keep them fighting) aslo medics can keep soldire alive in a sqad for some time it also make people more carefull and dependent on one another.

i think it should be changed some what becuse people can just keep comeing at a bace forever and adapt exataly to what they need as soon as they die to people need to pick befor had what they are going to need to win and bace it on the known. not ever one use this becuse this will crush them. like mg or rocket luncher. hell if your not porpared for a tank and they bring in one you should not have the abilty to come back as at and crush him just becuse the sqad leader is good at hide and seak.

With the current spawn times in the gloryhound server the whole squad can be eliminated before anyone can spawn. So with long spawn times I say leave it the way it is.

Respawning on squad leaders makes the firefights longer, and it makes the squad leader more of a commanding asset so that he stays slightly out of the action so his fallen comrades can respawn on him and he can focus on giving orders

i used to think that but after the match where i picked off a sqad five times over but the medics healed them all i dont thin it is nessicary. if you use cover were your medics can get you and dont buch up you can last some time. now with the timer ant 30 sec you have plenty of time to heal them too.
this alows the leader to stand back and view the situation beter if need be and let his medics keep his people on the front line. that the main reason y i think it will work a medic can heal almost any injury.

I think spawning on squad leader should stay. Its a great way to keep your squad working together, and to quickly get into a useful role on a large map with few vehicles.
The problem is the medics, they need to have a limited amount of defibs.

Is there anyway that the minimum respawn time (and death method) is set to the way that it is on the Gloryhoundz server? And the only changes the server can make to it is increase it? Cause that would be awesome...
Anyway, with the way that the respawn times are on Gloryhoundz, it makes it so that spawn on the squad leader isn't something that happens all the time in alot of firefights, one squad is usually completely wiped out, or if not, the squad leader has/picks up a medic kit and revive's his downed teammates.

Yea if anything, 35 seconds is too short.
I dont think it should be anything less than 35 seconds.

Respawning on the squad leader is un-realistic but it keeps the game play going. After each time you die, you don't have to start all the way back at base and get a stupid hummer just to get back with your squad.. it would totally break the squad. I think it should stay this way or at least make people spawn at captured points on the map.

I Agree. Its the core feature of BF2 IMO.

Well, realism wise spawning on a squad leader is not the best way of providing reinforcements. However, spawning only at the main base might stop the great prolonged firefights that really give you the battle feeling.... So I think it should stay.
