[Weapon] SA80 Bayonet [WIP]

Before I start, this will not be used as a Bayonet in game any time soon, it will only be used as a combat knife for the British due to the amount of time and energy needed to make a bayonet its really not worth it, considering as well we only have one animator who has alot more important things to do
Now anyways, this model has been lying around for some time and since its been a very low priory object has not been done, thou I thought I would give it a blast

Dunno for sure who did the model as it was done a long long time ago, thou I think it was Wybl thou dont quote me on that
took about three days work I think but I recon its turned out really nice. Done the skin with bump and spec maps, aswell as the LODs, COL meshes and the import
Katarn's going to have a little play with it to fix a small problem with the idle animation and to try and get that little bit of hand to stop sticking though the handle
Hope you like it, my first weapon skin

Sexy.
Just wondering, cant you just remove all those idle animations? Is that much work? They really ruin the realistic atmosphere.
Anyway, good job, nice knife/bayonet.

I would think its possible afaik, but according to katarn its a easy fix soo best to keep it

Well it is a weapon mounted bayonet, but it has a second function of a combat knife (as well as others like wire cutting etc in r/l, but not ingame

)
I also think the vBF2 knife is also a bayonet model, but dunno what DICE based it off of

hehe, well first ive got to finish muttrah, and do alot of other things too like make a set of statics for ranky etc

I meant the idle animations for all weapons - well, at least the most unrealistic of them. I always thought PR only kept it because it wasnt possible to remove them without animator(s). But throwing a knife or a grenade around, spinning a pistol etc always annoyed me. But maybe thats just me.

may see a melee attack function [besides slot 1] in the future?
I'm guessing you didn't wan't questions like this, Rhino but I'll ask anyway.
Does this mean (when animator[s] have more time or become plentiful):
Another key could be used such as C "change view" for a melee attack. Stab from bayonet mounted weapons resulting in a kill or Pistol whip's etc.. resulting in health loss.
or
Slot 1 could /(would have to be) be replaced with rifle mounted bayonet meaning LMB = stab
or
Another ingenious idea...

would be sexy if the melee slot in game was a bayonet on your gun. but i guess that isnt all that realistic, since you'd probably just shoot them or fist fight them if it got that close.

learn how to animate, then do the animations for us aswell as make bayonets for all USMC, US Army, PLA and MEC and we would consider it
