Very impressed...oh, and hello.

Well, after playing PRMM and reading these forums for a while now, I decided it was time to say hello.

First of all, a little about myself perhaps, if I'm to be (hopefully) part of this wonderful community :-D

I'm 16 years of age, live in Victoria, Australia...well, yes, I think that should do quite well. Can't think of much else to add.

I've played with quite a few from these forums, initially as '01-Alfa' and more recently as '[S2]Shrike'. I must say, I'm highly impressed with what you folks have done here.

By far the most impressive change, in my opinion, is not the enhanced accuracy, or more realistic damage system. It's the way that teamwork has become not merely a good thing to see - as in BF2 Vanilla - but mandatory.
I'm quite serious when I say that I've never seen teamwork in this (mini) mod less than that of the greatest example of teamwork I've witnessed in vanilla, bar clan matches - and sometimes even organised scrims can't compare to what I see here. This, to me, is the greatest acheivement.

It may be the community, or the type of player that the realism niche attracts, but regardless of how it happens, I absolutely love the teamwork used in this mod. Of course, having weapons that actually kill people when you tell them to helps as well.

I can be seen on the Gloryhoundz server every now and then. I truly hope to become an active member of this community, and hope I'll be accepted as such. You'll find that I always strive to be as respectful, and as mature, as I can. I find you don't offend so many people that way  .

Oh and Shrike, try joining Tokyo Terrorism, it doesn't have the ABR or AAS on it, but atleast its a semi-full server (in our time zone) and something you can play with PRMM until Gloryhoundz is up.

(Add me on Xfire: punkpber16 and we can tear some stuff up as a squad)

Welcome :)

I thought I've seen an Australian server fairly regularly populated...

I think there are some servers running the latest map pack beta in "non aas" mode. I am hoping that's because the server fiels are still in testing and not because folks don't like AAS mode.

Should have the Map Pack 1 final client and server fiels available shortly so hopefully more people will run them in AAS mode.
