really high ping

I usually get a ping of 30-40 in regular bf2 servers. However, in pr servers, I get a ping of 130-180. Does anyone know why this happens? Any help is greatly appreciated.

sounds like ur playing in a server thats not in ur continent.

well bf2 is vanilla ! PR freaked that engine up 
, so im sure ull get more pings on that ! , one more thing , if u have anything opened in the background that uses internet bandwidth ... turn it off .

For me it's easy to say, low ping on Euro servers, high on the US. Asian/other - forget about them.
And no difference between Vanilla and PR... except since the discovery of PR reg BF2 is impossible to enjoy... EXCEPT after a large bottle of rum or whiskey.
