Ok, I was playing DCX the other day, and I thought about PR. Why don't we get maps that have different factions in it, like say US vs PLA in basrah, MEC vs Ins in River Quai, militia vs ins on EJOD, stuff like that. I think it would add a whole dimension of gameplay to the game since you might join Kashan, but it might be the UK vs Milita instead of US vs MEC. My only problem is execution: How to do this? Unless there is a way to make it have multiple listings like 16,32,64, but with the different teams in the name or load up screen, we'd have to replicate each level, and that would add up to a very large amount of data to download, and I dont want to make that happen.

you mean that one could change the factions that are used on a specific map? it's possible anyway i believe => mapeditor (correct me if im wrong).

exactly. This mod is about realism and realistic scenarios, I don't want to see the brits fighting usa in the north pole.

Ok yeah its about realism, but when was tehre a MEC?
THis is for the fun behind the mod, because even if this was the most realistic ever, you have to have some fun in it, or you lose people

Not "when was" but "when will be", PR is placed in the near future AFAIK.

If you're not getting any fun from PR than maybe it's time for you to stop playing it.

hehe, throwing the trump card "since when was there MEC"? When was the PLA in Basra then? I think the mappers know what they are doing, but maybe what you want is more variety in maps. If that was the case, I agree.

Still more realistic than Chinese soldiers fighting Georgian militiamen in Iraq...

It would just ruin much of the feeling of realism that identifies PR.

We like variety, just of the realistic kind.
We don't want PLA fighting rebels in Kashan Desert, but we do want PLA fighting US in the Golbi Desert.

Disclaimer: just an example/generalization.

But I think after awhile the current set up is pretty much killing the fun factor, I've honestly haven't played ina bit because A) there are only 3 days I can play in a week and B)Its teh same thing every time for me, and I just get bored. I like a mod having realism but only so far, cause it needs to be somewhat fun, and mec vs us, PLA vs UK, militia vs UK, are just boring the bejesus out of me at the moment. I just want to see a bit of variety, so what if the PLA is in kashan fighting Militia? Maybe they invaded a middle eastern country and the only people available to fight them are militiamen? This has the same problem as Americas Army, in that each map is exactly the same each time, with teh same weapons. People go to the same places each and every time, and just stick to that tactic all the time that map comes up. You seeing where I'm going with this?
