Maybe time for a PRMM tactical 101 guide

I've noticed a huge increase in the number of people playing the mod, which is good the problem is most of these people are playing it like they play vanilla ... no tactics, no teamwork, the bad mouth attitude etc etc etc
[most of the rounds i played today really gave me the impression of being just back in vanilla ]
one of the great things about this mod is THE DAMN TEAMPLAY so i was pretty sick seeing it all go to hell.
ok the new guysneed time to adjust and so on, but as of before the new ones came little by little and learnt by seeing all the bad *** PRMMs working together

as in everyone join a squad, stay grouped with your squad, learning that flanking is better then sprinting to your squads death, suppressing fire, and just generaly helping out your fellow soldier when he isin need.
but with soo many new people coming and sticking to their old habits i think we have to find a new way to guide them in the spirit of play that we have been able to have until now.
so maybe some sort of FAQ or how to guide or such could help this out ( and probably cut a lot of the same question about lots of thechnical info changed with the mod ) i know this is only a mini mod so lots of things are bound to change at a moments notice.
As much as the mod itslef is team orientated it also needs a guide line for the new people to fit fast so that we can all enjoy this mod like it deserves ...
tactical bloodshed MUAHAHAHAHAAAHA
ps: and to the people about to tell me to go back to vanilla (as i've been told during game play) ask yourself why the hell did you download this mod in the first place ?

ahh that not true i did not always join a squad. some times i did and the other half i did not. i like being able to go behind the lines my self or only 1 other person and cause problems for the other team. (well i was tring to help my team by flanking them and leting my team move up). not to say i dont like sqad play but ehh im not good in a sqad becuse i alway think they have my back and i just end up dieing alot more.
but alot joind sqads and dont know what there doing.
i dont see a lot of ignorance in people too. just try and get peope you know join one team so you can slaughter them with i know will happen if you use team work to teach them a leson and tell them why they are losing.
but i do like the idea of a FAQ guid.
people complaing about thing that have been changed (ie sniper #1)

I hate when people don't join squads
Here's a story (happened an hour ago) that will convince you that squads = l33t
It was Karkand, and I was on the MEC team. We were divided into four or five squads, I'm guessing. One squad guarded the east street, one guarded the west street, and the other two or three squads would lurk around, mostly near the hotel and south of it, defending. The longest the USMC held the Hotel was less than a minute. That's also the farthest they got. We won the round 233-0
Teamwork 4 lyfe

I only just started playing the mod today so I'm still a noob at it. I need some help with my mic though. It used to work for the vanilla BF2 but it stopped working a while ago. Anyone have any ideas that might help me?

True, there wasn't much communicating, but we had extremely well placed units, and that won the battle for us

I was on that round too (In your squad, Cerberus

). I think what happened was not that MEC showed particularily good defense, but that USMC showed particularily bad teamplay-- they were unorganized so their assaults were small, and scattered, with few chances for medics to survive.
We beat them as USMC the round before, too. It was just an overall bad team.

This sounds so awesome, all the firefights and tactics. In the few rounds I played however, I didn't see much of this. Except for one instance at Mashtuur. We (US) were along the ridge by the Mosque OP and we were anhilating everyone who kept trying to get across. A damn Sniper got us thought and took us out. DOn't know if this is considered team work, but thats what I saw. There was one other incidence actually. My squad and I were going for the Hill OP and there were a bunch of guys on the stairs. The majority of my squad took them on behind cars and what not as I snuck up to flank them and took them out with my grenade launcher. This was really great. I dunno if thats what the Grenade Launcher is meant for, but oh well.

I see, it was fun the little bit I played though. I like the no crosshairs thing. It makes it nearly impossible for the noobs who just jump around with the grenade launcher raping people all day.

You know, you've got a point. They were just plain awful. I was taking pot shots at 'em from 100 meters away with my AK (I ended up having 27 kills and 7 deaths) and they barely ever hit me. They'd have a few guys on the hill, not even advancing, and when they did, it'd only be one guy and he didn't even have a smoke screen. The only one good tactic they used was sending an entire squad to move up the west street. We had a little bit of trouble with them. I almost got them all when I flanked them, but I got trigger happy and opened fire. I could have sent a grenade their way and killed all five. This
one guy tried to flank the western edge of the city all by himself and I totally annihilated him when I popped around the corner.
We still played some good defense
BTW, worst3, I was not the one saying "zomg we need to dephenD teh squre!11shift+one." Musta been someone else.
That was a damn good round.

I was there, on USMC. Our squad was about the only one doing anything. We captured the hotel once by flanking all you guys. Going to the west around to the square then back south to the Hotel. Other than that, not many highlights, except our team wasn't that great.
I was just on the server, of course a crappy map, Fushe Ppass, and the server is now empty. And by empty, I mean less than 10 per side.

Well as to this:
This one guy tried to flank the western edge of the city all by himself and I totally annihilated him when I popped around the corner.
I think that was me. I was trying to get my squad mates to follow, but you can see how that turned out. :\

The thing about this mod, is that you can have fun as infantry even on the 'poorer' maps.
I was on a 16 player Clean Sweep map, on Desert Wolves. Had my clanmates with me, as they were trying it out, and they really enjoyed it, much of the fighting took place near the big bridge in the middle, and was extremely tactical.
I thought, doh, we need a better map, but maybe not. Then we wen't onto 16 Sharqi and that was even better. The fights around the construction site can be awesome.

That they can, I was with a squad on that map and we held the South Western Corner (right by the Crane ladder, where the stairs are) for the longest time, its amazing what coordinated surpressing fire will do to the enemy (had a helpful sniper in another squad that would alert us of incoming infantry).
