Been using some free time to get confortable with 3ds and got this going.
I sugest it strongly to the rebel forces, but the russian army still has some in use, so its up to you.
2711 poly count so far

Do not post threads in this forum without permission. If you had PMed me, I would have told you that the vehicle is not in the design plan, and I would have no use for it.

... its a rather reasonable number by the looks of the model. Give the guy a break people. I'm not getting that "fraud feeling" with this guy... yet

Help me out here ... 3ds 7 stil has the polycount tool, but i might be missing something.
Btw, i do belive textures can do miracles in the detail of these models, no need to force it all on geometry.

Very good man, it can be pushed a bit further poly wise, and some can be saved - for instance the grill thing you have on the back/top side of it, I'd rekon it could be done with a box and normal mapping, but just ignore me.
One area that could recive a bit more detail is the wheels, but its not vital since its tracked and the wheels wont be the main focus.
I'm not familiar with MAX 7, but I guess you can see the "tri" or "triangle" count somewhere - its the number that really matters when it comes performance and limits.

Well, then im going to need another ref. for tri count. Im at 4700 right now and am thinking of adding a MG to the opened hatch front right.

MGs should be possible to add separately, yes. And since all polies are converted to triangles upon importing, the tri count is what you should be watching. Good work, by the way!

pardon the doubtful comments xdevice, there was a certain incident that happened no too long ago here. you shouldnt ask me about the specifics but suffice to say it has put many on edge regarding random newbies with amazing models.

Im still horrified with the skinning processes ...
Reading tuts and practicing. For now sitll just the raw model with no hierarchies. Lots of questions - will be reading bf2editor site up and down to find some answers. Still dont know where the tracks go in the hierarchy of the model for export.
For now there is no interest in any of the teams to include this model ingame, so updates only after i am able to import this into the game, or some express interest in the model.
