This idea is no big deal, just adding a bit more realism, but pls tell me your opinion.
My idea is that to destruct a rally point one would need explosives or more bullets than it needs now, and knifing it should do no damage. Im not talking about SLAMs or C4s, but grenades.
I think it would be more realistic that a small "cache" with weapons and communication and other equipment couldnt be destroyed with two knife stabs, but lets say around 10-15 bullets or one grenade.

Why not just knife it? Whats the difference?

Like I said in OP, its no big deal, just more realistic.

Maybe the two knifes are meant to be another action we currently can't have.

We "arrest" civilians with knives, simply because the overworked animator(s) and devs are busy with something else.
Two knives could mean we're dispersing the bags and damaging the radio. Maybe a "knifed" rally could leave a random kit, since the other team is getting their kits from it.

Ive already suggested that rallys cant be destroyed by weapons, but if someone stands near it long enough it will be destroyed, ie representing the rallys compromised but no one liked this idea either...players all seem hardcoded that the current system is best. Though some seemed to like the idea that rallys are temp disabled if an enemy is within 25m or something...
which a would stop spawn camping and also make it seem like the friendly forces cant get to the rally to reinforce.
Anyway, I agree that something is a little sloppy about being able to knife a rally. Though my argument was its just a coordinate on a map and therefore cant be destroyed. Its a very nice system otherwise.

It used to be that you need to pump 100 rounds in to them or use explosives. if it is found then you better regroup somewhere else then because that is what it is, a figurative meeting point.

I disagre with the op, cuz its not like this is a quick fix bunker, its just a representation of where a squad would 'rally' in the event of withdrawal or reinforcement from elements of their company (i.e. the spawners)

YEs its not like a place where they are heavily represented its a place where they can rally up and get reinforcment that dosent mean they have everything under control in that region. Its more of a little hide spot where you still are in danger.

If thats the case, then I got the concept of the rally point wrong, sorry about that.

The whole point of a rally in real life is that it is a safe place to regroup and rearm, to fall back to or in the even of an emergency, use as known meeting place if the squad is split up.
Rally points are usually not anywhere near combat zones.
Rallys are used in game differently because people want to use them as spawn points to get their fallen squad mates into the battle and are often dropped right inside combat areas. This is why they get destroyed so often, if squaddies were to put up with having to run a little further then their rally's would be safe. They arn't being used like that so they need to be changed. To force squaddies to keep their rallys at a larger distance to combat zones by making them disabled if enemys near them would keep rallys alot safer for all sides and squads would benafit more. And would mean othersquads would have to make a specific effort to push forward for en enemy rally. Currently rallys can just be an endless tide, making rallys futher appart would mean that the tide can be cut off.

or some one could animate someone running up and kicking the rally point repeatedly in the crotch. (sarcasm)
whats wrong with them now, they are hard enough to find and get to let alone destroy if your idea is used.
