Changing Weapon Rate Of Fire

Please excuse me if this topic has come up before. I have searched the various forums, but couldn't find an answer to my question which is: How do you change your weapon's rate of fire? I have read the manual, but could not find anything specific. I was a medic with semi-auto fire (don't know how)one minute, died and came back with just single-fire. I've been playing BF2 since it came out and just recently changed to PR-which I love. Thanks for all replies.

press 3 or scroll with mouse and select ur rifle again, though 3 works best. same as vbf2.

But you'll notice semi being much easier to use in PR.

yeaah, you should always fire on semi, apart from with support weapons, and rifles at close range, like in buildings and towns ect.

How on earth did you miss that in VBF2?

Since when does anyone need semi in vBF2?

I find semi shots always register better. I always used to go full auto on enemies in Ghost Town with my AK, but after switching to semi, the hits registered better.
