As you know few PR server are running private rankings know as ABR.
Which is great that you can you your rank, your SL rank, etc. which is good to recognize good players while joining squads.

This all apply when you are playing on one server, but when you are going to multiple servers you have different rank all the time.

My point is (what i saw at vBF) bunch of private servers sharing one ranking system. I believe that this might be possible with PR too to create a Global ranking system for PR.

Secondly,these stats are usually based on vBF2 stats which are available on the internet. Silly is that they are based on vBF2 they are not reflecting PR weapons, PR maps, PR kits - so the value of these detailed stats is ZERO.

OK this was introduction, now important part is comming:
I have enought skills and experiences to do above.
(i was running vBF2 server + ABR, ranks, Mods)
Also i have servers to host general stats, etc.

before i spend time on this i would like to know if it sound interesting for you.
Secondly (for server admins) - would you welcome a shared stats on your server

Personally I play PR to get away from the stat braggers and such.

Well, it's the server admin's fault when they decide to use their own ranking instead of ABR.

Leave alone the question if it's necessary to have one at all.

I don't really care about ranking, all it leads to is people doing everything they can to get a lot of points so they will get a higher rank. At least that is how it is in 99% of online games which have ranks, I doubt pr would be different even though the general player base is more mature.

Im personaly not bothered either way... ABR hasnt worked for me since .4 ...vBF2 works when it wants to, which is never... its all about the Mojo.

Stats? I measure my performance through the level of enjoyment I receive by playing and helping others. There are no stats for that.

I enjoy the private rankings on battlearena's Al-Basrah server, but overall I'm fairly glad PR is unranked. As was said, stat braggers are annoying, and I play just to have some fun rather then to get a rank.

In BF2, I'm at 2nd Lt. and I see it more as a hinderance. Heck, with all the stat hacks going on out there, I'd prefer an unranked game. PR's great for it's gameplay, not awards and stuff. So I'd vote no big deal.

I can take it or leave it. Its nice to be told by the game that you've achieved something, its better that another player congratulates you on a good performance.

Totally agreed. I hold my title among clan mates of being extra sneaky with a knife higher then a jpeg image of a rank.

yes, battlearena is good example, they are using Jeff Minard's vBF2 stats.
Information value = ZERO coz kit details =0, vehicle details = 0, weapons details =0
coz they are related to vBF not to PR

It is wierd though to get the same basic award every time I play on battlearena. I also get the Meritorious Service Ribbon every time I play since it is based on the low amount of BF2 team points, and PR gives you hundreds if you work well with your squad.

yeah i would be all for stats if the stats are only awarded if A>only if you are in a squad of 3 or more and B> it must be logged for only the winning team.

otherwise they are the devils work IMO

ABR means fook all tbh..PR servers may as well ditch it, indeed most do

There should be ranks , It's hell'a real .. those who protest whats your problem

I only want to see simple tournament stats...

Personal stats are evil, they make the people kill everyone, just to earn .jpg awards !

I don't care about stats.
