*Game mode name changeable jsut needed something*

Within this game mode, what you have are two bases.

These bases produce tickets at the rate of 10 tickets per 5 minutes. Controlling 5 bases = every 5 minutes you get 50 points

The more bases you hold the more tickets you can get.

By killing an enemy Officer you remove 5 tickets from the enemies team.

By destroying a fire base you remove 10 from the enemies team

By destroying a bunker you remove 50

By destroying a command post you remove 50

By killing the commander you remove 50 and gain 25

Items such as Bunkers, Firebases, defences cost tickets.

Razor Wire = 5 tickets

Sand Bags = 10 tickets

Firebases = 20 tickets

Bunkers = 40 tickets

Command Posts = 25 tickets.

Rally Points - 5 tickets

The commander can also call in additional vehicles if a squad leader requests them and has more then 2 members in their squad.

Transport Helis - 20 tickets

Attack Helo - 50 tickets

tank - 50 tickets

Truck - 10 tickets

Light vehicle (Vodnik / humvee etc) - 5 tickets

Even some kits will require tickets.

Sniper kits - 3 tickets
Heavy AT - 3 tickets

And if you have somebody in your squad with a kit already you can still request the same kit at the cost of 5 tickets.

and so on.

What this would do, produce longer games that require alot of tactics, teamwork, planning and thought, commanders really feel more involved as they are managing their side, they control everything about it.

it encourages team work as squads will feel more obliged to defend their control points in order to get better upgrades for defences and vehicles.

It also brings a form of currency into the game as players feel they must carefully choose what kits to use as well as to stay alive and use their kit to its maximum potential rather than spray and pray.

Not even sure if it would be possible but yeah. :P

Great Idea, most of it is already in the current AASv2 game mode.(Losing of tickets)

Not so much as in depth as this though. In AASv2, each team loses tickets for a death, and can gain tickets from the CO post which produces 10 tickets every 10 minutes.

The idea is interesting, but it would be a massive headache trying to memorize all those rules.

At best, what I would like to see is some of these aspects integrated into standard AAS play. The biggest one being a loss of tickets upon the loss of a CP. It would definitely stress the importance of defending CPs.

And also, destroying enemy vehicles (Manned or unmanned) should cost the enemy team an extra ticket or two. Such as 2 tickets for a jeeps and trucks, 3 for APCs/IFVs, Transport Helicopters, 5 for Tanks, Attack Choppers and Fixed Wing Aircraft (Or however the devs see fit for balance). This would add incentive to destroying enemy vehicles, and give teams more reason to keep their vehicles alive.

you cant give the individual solider to be able to take away tickets.

Buying vehicles rather than having them spawn is a great idea. I don't know about the rest of it though.

maybe just include some of these into the current AASv2 game mode.

Youve got to take into account how "noob-friendly" this is.

Sure you can spawn in vehicles, great idea.. its just if you get a noob team, the game is pretty much done.....it is a game. I like the ideas, just. How can it be simplified but in depth at the same time is the question.

That would be a great idea. It worked in a old game name Operation Flashpoint. There was a map mod for OFP called RTS or CTI in which the commander built the base with his engineers and command truck. Then there was a different types of factories that were built, for example, a aircraft hanger, tank facility, light vehicles facility and a infantry barracks. The barracks is where you would get your kits, the tank fac you would get APC, AA, and 3 types of tanks, light vehicles would be for HMMVV's, 5-tons, jeeps w/MG mounted. The the commander could set up a command post with satelite dish. The commander was a busy man, the squad leaders took more a role of commanding in the field but had a role in helping the com setup the main base just like now in PR. But here is the kicker, for each flag cap, each team that was involved in capping the flag got money toward buying their vehicles and weapons. And the commander controlled the amount of money each squad got as well. Commander could also give money to squads for mone vehicles and weapons too. The commander could also upgrade vehicles by having research done( it's a 10 minute wait). Once research is done, the new vehicle, tank for example. It would have more armor and better range/accuracy. By the time the commander had all research done, he had one nuke, satelite surveilence covering 20 mile radius, JDAM in one C-17, and all the up to date(2006) weapons and vehicles/aircraft.

Not bad for a old game. Might look into something like that.

Hmm... some new building types would be intresting...

Factory, commander selects what cehicles to make. Engineers then construct them by using wrenches on generic piles of materials.

Could have this for aircraft and heli's too.

But really, the reason I wanted this is so Commanders have a more active part in the game with a currency system being tickets as this seems to be the easier one I can think of.

I'd mention that. :-D

But it worked because OFP maps are 31839812397198948398423x bigger than PR.

hmm yes "great" idea now lets make the tickets into money and make it so that you get money for killing stuff then with that money you can buy weapons. Also we should make it so u have to plant a c4 in the enemy main base and defend it so the good guys don't disarm it.(sarcasm)

Think about smactards using the tickets to fast like some pub games will be over in 5 minutes if the tickets is used fast.

How about you give squad leaders the ability to request certain vehicles from main and make this action only possible if you have X players in the team. for example, if the server has 16 players, but is in a 64/32 map, you can request a rover, but not a tank, that would require X players to be in your team. Also, you would need a minimum of players in your squad to request a vehicle and X more players if it's an expensive vehicle(Chopper, Tank).

I don't support the CNCish idea, not realistic on small maps.
Building assets should be limited to fortifications and logistic/spawn points like bunkers or command posts.

JDAM should cost tickets.
CO trucks and a limited amount of light vehicles should spawn normaly at main tho.

This gamemode won't work with map setups (16p,32p,64p) as the only thing that would change is the mapsize, and the mapsize should be big enough to allow use of any conventional vehicles depending on the number of players.
