idk, I recently started working more at leading a squad and came to realize how daft so many commanders are. One commander would send me and my squad to one side of the map, we'd finally get there, fight for two minutes, then he'd switch us back to the other side of the map. During these times he would ask over text, text because he didnt have a mic, "Squad 3 WHY ARE YOU IN THE DESERT!?"
My response "Because you sent us south to Ruins and while going through the eastern desert we encountered about half the US team. There's a firebase near ruins and we are working our way towards it"
I look on my map and see 90% of our team on our Gardens bunker. Now, those SL should be punished, but Im 90% sure the Commander would have punished ME first before them.
Ive come to realize that commanders often have little idea whats going on, even when you try and keep them updated. THeyll move you around with little idea of what "clicking and ordering squad 3 to
here" entails. It doesnt just
happen because you clicked the button and ordered them there...
I followed his orders for 60% of the round, then finally yelled at him over Voip to think before he told us to go somewhere, to take into account where we and the rest of the team were... he slowed down on his orders and we managed to win... but god did it suck

The gist of it? Commanders dont always do the best job either, not to say none do, nor am I saying all SLs are perfect, I just think that since you can NEVER 100% be assured of their capabilities that theres not much sense adding a "punishment" option.. for either... unless its some sort of vote kick like there is for commanders now...
