Browsing other mods websites i stumbled across a model that brings back some memories:

The Eurocopter / MBB Bo-105 Light transport / Scout helicopter.



OPK has a working model, see:

We would need to ask the OPK dev's for permission offcourse in that case we must strip the helo of its AT missiles and reskin it to RNLAF livery.

Also a big question is would we need one offcourse?

They are still in service (just a few) but are not operational in Afghanistan for example but gameplay wise it is a good match to put in as a scout like the Littlebird is.

Its a good thing to add to smaller maps also instead of the huge Chinook or NH-90 this little helicopter would fit in perfectly.

I think i already suggested this too, i like the idea.

with its AT missiles removed it looks like it would be ok, but is there a transport version? Its nice to have a small light transport version like what we have with the littlbird since you can use them in different scenarios etc

btw glimmerman how about the cougar MK2

I dont know if OPK has a transport version but if they dont we need to adjust the model a bit (if it can be done without a new UVmap!)

ICE, The cougar is a medium/heavy transport helicopter, still to big for small maps and not suited for recon.

I don't think OPK will share that model yet (I wouldn't either if I were them) as it's not even released in a OPK version.

We gave 21CW our CR2 before we released it.

Isn't 21CW a tournament (kind of mod)?

yes it is, and EOD gave you their M14 even before their first release

21CW is a Tourney/Mod, they are how ever part of BSS.

That's not the point, a Tourney is no competition to a Mod

But let's just see what the OPK team says.

i agree in the doubts, but a non armed version could probably be supported by them, as it would still let tem beeing the onlys with the 1337 version
(just think it might be a good tactic)

I think it would be a cool helo..

But not to put in our afghan map(s).

I got my doubts on this;

Because we use the Fennek now for Recon,
And that's getting done too.
I'd say make the Fennek an quick silent vehicle, with only 3 spots for players in it.

OPK is not in competition with us... if we where all in "competition" then there would be no such thing as BSS.

The OPK are in debt to us for all our brit assets so there is no reason why they wouldn't allow us to use this, and anyways most likly by the time this community mod gets released OPK would have released the chopper them selfs anyways.

MYeah, this would be the only thing we'd need from them.

Indeed, + they will be credited for the work offcourse and what better than to have a even larger group of people enjoying their work.

THe Fennek is a pure recce vehicle, the Bo-105 is a recce heli + a light troop transport, it will bring people faster from point A to B then the Fennek.

yeh we used it for one battle (i was in the UK division)
