Free HDD Space?

Guys, I need to free up some space on my PC; in my add/remove programs I see:
PR 0.708 Core (6.4 GB)
PR 0.708 Levels (6.4 GB)
PR 0.75 (6.4GB)
Can any of these be removed, or are they -all- needed?

you cant remove any of them, they are all the same thing (your PR installation) thou it shouldn't be 6.4GBs, maybe you installed alot of extra stuff in there like custom maps etc?

Might not be 6GB actually, I'm quite bad with my conversions (In which case I cannot understand why I have so little space on my HDD)
Here's a screenshot, how much space do they collectively take up?

windows lies... that is the size of all files under BF2.. all mods that have have been installed. Including all BF2 nilla updates like Special Forces etc..
Add remove programmes claims the BF2 editor is 10 GB on my PC, LOL

Go to "c:\Programm Files\EA Games" and than right click on Battlefield2 and choose properties and see how big it actually is.
The add/remove thing doesnt work for BF2 and mods properly.
Mine says:
4,2 GB for BF2
4,2 GB for PR 0.7
4,2 GB for Core
4,2 GB for Levels
But in reality its 4,2 GB for all of that combined...

It can't be that surely? My add/remove still has BF2 listed as a seperate entity at 3.7 GB...
This is stupid though; adding up my BIG programs (The little one's don't amount to so much)
WoW = 8 GB
CoH = 7.8 GB
Medieval 2 = 7.7GB
PR = 6.4 GB
PR = 6.4 GB
PR = 6.4 GB
HL2 = 4 GB
BF2 = 3.7 GB
UO = 1.4 GB
TVersity = 1.1 GB
Added up that totals 52.9 GB, yet I only have 5GB left on my 80GB HDD - What the hell is going on there?
---
You are right though; the properties of all my BF2 mods comes to about 2.14 GB each?
So if my add/remove is lying to me, and my HDD is lying to me, what on earth is going on here?

Cheers mate, will try it out.
Cheers for that mate, I've just freed 5gb by removing the Company of Heroes patch installers
Everything else seems sorta necessary, though; not much else I can get rid of except WoW since I don't really play it anymore.

when was the last time you defragged your disk?
also, you can use a program such as CCleaner to clean your HDD from temp files that arent useful, first time i did it it cleaned out 5.5 gb in useless temp files.
then there are programs such as JDiskscan report that can scan your disk and present all data in diagrams and lists, I found an old screenshot folder contain 4gb of screenshots from doom3 with that program.
EDIT: madtommy beat me to it, Jdiskscan report is pretty much the same thing as "scanner"

I use CCleaner on my XP o.s.
Works great and has a registry cleaner also.

Yup, the quoted size is for BF2 and all mods. Just a quirk caused by how we've had to do the installer.

i use Auslogic disk defrag, very good, and also try something like Tune Up utilities, works okay, cleans up stuff which aint needed

it's properly because you have other mods installed (it counts the bf2 folder, so both pr,bf2 and any other mod installed in the folder)

You can also delete the dowloaded windows updates.
When the update is released you windows will download that update and than install it. But it wont automaticaly delete the downloaded files.
They are located in
c:\windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download
As far as I know you can delete everything in that "Download" folder (I do it).
But wait for someone else to confirm it first. Anyone else does this?
Also check how big your windows folder is, and "Documents and Settings" folder (is it called like that in english btw).
