[Texture] MEC Vehicle Camo [WIP]

The goal was to:
A. Make the vehicle camo more realistic.
B. Make the camo blend better with the ingame environment.
A. Actual Middle Eastern tanks:
As you see, the camo does not have a pattern, it doesn't have stripes etc. It is a bland, single plain colour. This is because the desert is generally plain and monotonous, and as such, this type of camo works best.
B. The old MEC camo was much darker, and had greens and such. This made it not blend in very well for the desert settings on which MEC armour is utilized in PR. This camo blends in much better, and does not stick out as much.

Yes, it's bland, plain, and not very visually exciting. But that's not what PR is about, and that's exactly what type of camo works in the desert.

I like the changes, both the BTR and Truck work with that color scheme.
The tank and AAV are fine also, although I think that a bot more color could be added to the road wheels and track just to make them stand out more. I could see them coated with dirt or grime but that wouldn't match the color 100%.

Hmm, sandy. The old brown really gave them away against their background, glad this is in the works.

heh nice work there. They look a bit like plastic toys tho.
We just need the forest camo and it'll go perfectly with the MECinf forest camo

Could you be a bit more specific?

Yeah, I tried with a lighter/more yellow colour as in the pictures, but it just looked wrong in PR. The colour of the deserts in PR just does not fit that. The base colour I chose was created from taking various samples from the actual colour of desert maps in PR.

In wonder why the MEC vehicles were brown in the desert anyways...lol

Grat work, about time the MEC got some lovin too
My only criticism is that i think they could use some more contrast, as the details seem to be a bit faded now, and the tracks could be a tad darker too.
Great work though.

make them more yellow/sand colored, they are better than the originals but to grey and well, i would like a light camo pattern and not just unicolor

I like and agree with the conceptm but i think there could be a little bit more...more in there?
What'd be really nice to see is some gun-metal colour scratches around the nose under-side, side edges and angles and any other place that'd get the odd scrape while in an urban enviroment.
...mongol...

"B. Make the camo blend better with the ingame environment."
i think they look nice but they are too dark compared to the PR textures...if they should fit the enviroment they shouls be brighter (actully the refpics are exactly the colour of most of the PR desert maps)
but thats just my opinion

They look nice, but they are IMO still too dark.
How about stealing the m1a2 skin color?

they are nice, but a tad bit too plain.

OK, they really look ugly.
But what, the camo works 100% better so I don't give a damn

I guess from my visual standpoint, the wheels match the upper portion, with no difference in shading. This gives the wheels no real depth. Visually it just looks flat. As Mongol stays that it could use some more "weathering" to really make the details stand out without sacrificing the camo aspect.

Or is it going to far with the grittiness?

edit:
redoing the base with less noise, as the above is a bit over the top

Looks good now. Makes the vehicle haves some definition.
