Your Current System Graphics Setting

by MrD
In a quick survey of the type of computers the community is presently using to play in the game in 2008, could people please choose which one of the following settings closely describes the graphics settings you use to run the game.
Here we won't be dealing with screen resolution but Low/Medium/High generalised settings. If you custom tweak from one of these settings, please post which of the three you are closest to.

Medium, and watch out, Rhino will stop on you because you made a poll.

On my XP PC I run everything on high and get 60fps, but my vista laptop runs everything on low-medium for the same result.

everything but textures on high[textures on medium], 1680x1050, 4xaa[I think?], 60+ FPS on all maps except for Bi Ming and Fools Road in which I plummet to like 15 fps for whatever reason.

Same, mine can probably cope with higher lighting, but on the more demanding maps it takes its toll and I can#t be bothered altering settings for maps.

I don't really get why people run this game at 16x AA/AF. I can and have, but it makes sandbags look like melting ice cream and whatnot. I don't think those beyond-maxed setting make the game look better at all (it's not even like the trees or foliage are really any less rasterized).
Do you do it just because you can, regardless of how it looks?

Try using battlefieldcleaner and clear the graphic cache, I also had 15 fps on those maps, now it's back to 40-50 again.

AA, Anti-Aliasing, smooths out those jagged lines that are created by pixels. Best example would be whenever you look at a wire on a telephone pole or something similar. Almost every game that will look at least somewhat aliased (jagged pixels on the edges).
AA at higher settings reduces it. Ultimately it doesn't change much other than aesthetics though without any AA of any sort it can potentially help obscure targets I suppose.
I voted low cause I have an aging system that barely runs anything at all. Whereas most people say Bi Ming and Kashan and Fools Road make their systems lag I say instead that only Sunset City, Qwai River, Jabal, and Zatar run properly on my system while the rest are unplayable nearly. EJOD is the worst. I just quit when I see that map loading.
I have 1 gig of ram and an ATI x1600 128m 2.4 Ghz processor. I think the most annoying thing about PR is the inconsistent graphical demands of the maps. If I'd started playing on EJOD and Basrah and Fools exclusively I might have given up right away.
